Acronix is a major antagonist in Ninjago, serving as one of the two main antagonists, alongside his brother Krux, of Season 7 and a mentioned antagonist in Season 15.
He and his brother were a pair of dangerous Elemental Masters known as the Hands of Time who nearly succeeded in conquering Ninjago. After being depowered and seemingly lost in time forever, they re-emerge decades later to enact a plot to regain their lost powers and conquer Ninjago.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]

- They nearly succeeded in conquering Ninjago in the past, only being stopped by Master Wu having Ray and Maya hastily manufacture chronosteel blades before they arrived. Even then, the two siblings put up a good fight against Wu and Garmadon and came close to victory through their swordsmanship skills alone.
- After being reunited 40 years later in present day, they launch a test run of their Vermillion soldier by sending him to kidnap Cyrus Borg, having brought extra Vermillion reinforcements in case of any complications or unexpected developments like the ninja arriving, and they used the Vermillion reinforcements as a distraction to ambush Zane when he was escaping with Borg to swiftly knock him out, take Borg, and escape without a trace.
- They used the three loyal Vermillion generals as pawns in their plans, controlling the Vermillion army as long as necessary, until the time was right that their usefulnesses was no longer required and they would directly take control.
- They commenced the second phase of their plan and had the Vermillion army successfully swarm the streets and capture all of the most craftspeople of Ninjago to put them to work in their secret base constructing more instruments and weapons to sustain their army, with no one knowing where the craftspeople were.
- Following this, they had the Vermillion launch another massive attack on Ninjago and successfully steal tons of metal and transport them to their base for the twin’s various projects they needed the skilled craftspeople build.
- They launched an attack on the ninja’s base that ended with them taking down the Destiny’s Bounty and Samurai X along with capturing Wu and both present time blades all in one fell swoop.
- While it is fake, they are capable of superficial politeness and respecting skills they value, such as when they noted they were so impressed with Commander Machia’s initiative that proved vital in them acquiring both Time blades, that they promoted her to supreme commander of the entire Vermillion army and had the other two commanders report to her.
- They figured out Cyrus Borg was stalling on completing their apparatus and making up excuses, exposing him and forcing him to complete it.
- While the ninja were launching an attack on their base, they went back to where they were holding Ray and Maya and secretly listened in outside to Ray and Maya telling Kai and Nya where the final time blade was and how it could only be retrieved by the Elemental Masters of Water and Fire before bursting in to reveal themselves and convince the ninja to cooperate by correctly pointing out that the reversal blade was the only way to save the time punch affected Master Wu.
- They tricked Kai and Nya into retrieving the final time blade for them before deducing Borg and the other ninja were trying to shut down their ultimate weapon called the Iron Doom, a complex superweapon capable of travelling through time, and they prevented the ninja from doing so, loading all the Vermillion onto the superweapon and time-travelling away.
- Upon successfully arriving back 40 years ago to their original defeat, they quickly surprised and overwhelmed the Elemental Masters with the Vermillion army and when a disguised Kai and Nya told the Elemental Masters how to fight back against the army, they came up with a new plan, relieving the Vermillion army of their service and controlling all the Vermillion snakes into going into the Iron Doom itself to control it like a mech. This utterly overwhelmed the Elemental Masters with Kai and Nya clueless as to how to stop them and the Time Twins successfully forced the Elemental Masters to surrender.
- They came close to finishing Kai and Nya once and for all, forcing Master Wu to sacrifice himself to strand himself, Acronix, and Krux in the temporal void while getting Kai and Nya back to the present with the reversal blade.
- When they started randomly time-travelling throughout various moments in the ninja’s history and Wu was de-aging, they deduced that Master Wu had been directly hit with the reversal blade and that if hey captured him, he could replace the blade as a source of energy for the Iron Doom to use.
- They quickly exploited the opportunity of Wu’s inadvertently time-travelling to try and kill the heroes at various moments in their history to prevent them from ever becoming threats to their plans and even though Wu seemingly defeated them, there is still a chance they are still at large.

- He is a skilled warrior, one of the best Master Wu (who’s thousands of years old) has ever seen. Even without his powers, he is able to hold off several ninja at a time via his swordsmanship skills alone.
- He invented his own signature move, the time punch, to take down Master Wu during their duel.
- He ran circles around the ninja when they confronted him and goaded them into blasting the elemental power towards the forward time blade, overloading it and causing a counter-blast, single-handedly knocking them all out and escaping.
- Despite missing out on the past 40 years of progress, he quickly adjusted and became an expert at modern day technology, demonstrating how intelligent and a quick learner he was.
- He has a funny and goofy exterior that makes his charming. No wonder he was able to quickly amass a following on social media.
- He quickly thought on his feet after noticing his brother was taken down and a captive Borg was reaching for the forward time blade, grabbing the blade and using it to make them all disappear and escape before Kai and Nya could stop him.
- He used the Borgwatch’s temporal scanner to locate the second time blade.
- After Commanders Blunch and Ragmuuk lost the second time blade, he used the temporal scanner to track the time blade in order to discover the location of the ninja’s base and allow the Hands of Time to launch a successful attack to reclaim it along with capture Wu.
- After Kai and Nya proved too troublesome when they went back to the past with the Iron Doom, he came up with a new plan and convinced Krux that they should travel forward in time to a point where no one would remember them, there were no Elemental Masters, and no one would be able to stop them.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- He and his brother attempted and nearly succeeded in wiping out the Elemental Masters in the past, which would also prevent their powers from being passed down, and ensure no one would be able to stop them.
- He and his brother attempted to conquer Ninjago.
- He and his brother kidnapped and enslaved the builders on Ninjago.
- He and his brother disposed of the Vermillion commanders when they were no longer needed.
- He and his brother have no qualms about hurting children as seen when they took advantage of Wu’s inadvertent time-travel to try to kill the past child versions of Lloyd, Wu, and Garmadon.
