What Makes Her Magnificent?[]
- She has a very sympathetic backstory, having been raped by Michael Cudmore which left her scarred and unable to have children after she testified against Cudmore at a murder trial. She then had to watch her attacker go free as the prosecution didn't think her identification would hold up in court, leaving her with resentment towards the system that failed to protect her.
- After recognising Cudmore twelve years later she is able to successfully trace his movements since attacking her and learn that he has several other victims.
- She persuades an influential friend named Alexandra Reda to hold a party in memory of the recently deceased Lewis Carroll as a pretext for her to get close to Cudmore and kill him.
- She devises a near-perfect plan to frame Murdoch, who was responsible for Cudmore going free, for the crime after she learns that he will be attending the party.
- Despite her grudge against Murdoch, she knows he doesn't deserve to hang and plans to exonerate him after making sure that she can escape.
- She takes advantage of Bradley Reda's attempt to drug Cudmore with mescaline by arranging for Murdoch to drink it instead, forcing him to stay overnight so he won't have an alibi.
- She successfully locates a croquet mallet with Murdoch's fingerprints and uses it to kill Cudmore before planting the handle in Murdoch's room.
- She creates an unbreakable alibi for herself by resetting the clock at the crime scene so the police will believe the murder took place half an hour earlier when everybody except Murdoch was downstairs.
- Despite framing him, she makes such good points to Murdoch about how the system failed her that he risks his career by helping her escape from jail.
What Makes Her A Baddie?[]
- She frames Murdoch for her crimes and gets him arrested. Although she was going to exonerate him before he could be convicted, she still drugs him against his will and endangers his police career by putting him under suspicion of murder.
