Assassins are Magnificent Baddies who are either professional killers hired by others to murder targets or have killed important public figures, or at least tried to do so.

Assassins can come across as cool if they use witty and sophisticated methods of finding and killing their targets, especially if their targets are themselves Asshole Victims who deserved some form of death.
