Fake Inept Magnificent Baddies know that being underestimated by others can put one at a great advantage. Thus, their schemes will often revolve around them masking their true brilliance and magnificence with feigned incompetence, stupidity, cowardice, overconfidence and so on, so forth. A great example is Obito Uchiha, who uses the alter-ego Tobi to join in the Akatsuki and also manipulated Nagato into changing his organization as a seemingly incompetent rookie.
