“ | Which would you rather have, the crouton or the entire Caesar salad? Of course, we will eat the mice, but only after we have exploited their labors. We are nice to the mice because it is intelligent to be so. See, if we talk sweetly, they will come in droves. If we hiss, they will run and we will have to chase after them, an unnecessary expenditure of calories. | „ |
~ Cat R. Waul explaining his plan to his henchmen. |
“ | Professor Sumdac, you can't go now. Don't you wish to see the completion of that which you helped create? | „ |
~ Megatron after revealing to Sumdac that he was using him all along before having him bear witness to his epic rebirth. |
Faux Affably Evil Magnificent Baddies are those who feign affability, in contrast to Affably Evil Baddies whose politeness is genuine.
Despite the fact that their friendliness is fake, Faux Affably Evils can come across as highly charming. Plus, being able to appear friendly while expertly hiding their true vicious colors makes a villain competent and manipulative.
Note: Not all MBs have to be Affable or Faux Affable. Some of them are fully open about their antagonism with no friendliness, feigned or genuine, as their magnificence will come from efficiency, quick wit and qualities other than charisma or politeness. Good example of MBs that are neither Affable nor Faux are The Goose and Soundwave from both Animated and Prime.
