Chuck Greene is the main protagonist of Dead Rising 2 and a major character in Dead Rising 3.
He is the caring father of Katey Greene who will do anything to get her zombrex that she requires due to being an infected human. However, traditional zombrex became illegal and since Chuck had to keep her unregistered and find it himself, he started to stress out that Katey would die, so he turned to crime in order to pay off her medicine, but Katey fled after feeling like she was a burden towards Chuck.
Chuck promptly lost his mind and went on a search for Katey that lasted 2 years until he finally found her at Los Perdidos.
He was voiced by Peter Flemming.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
In General/Background:[]
- He is an extremely tragic character due to him losing his wife in a zombie outbreak and his daughter becoming infected with him needing to keep her medicated with zombrex for the next 13 years, which causes him stress but despite this, he manages to still function normally and get on with life.
- He is an extremely competent survivor that has managed to survive 4 zombie outbreaks across the entire series using little more then his determination and skills. He also defeats 'Psychopaths' (which are the boss fights in the series) no matter the advantages they have over him.
- He is very resourceful, having the inventing skills to create dozens of special weapons throughout the series such as a light-saber with a flashlight and some gems, a Wolverine type pair of fighting gloves with some boxing gloves and bowie knives and a paddle with two chainsaws attached to it.
- Whenever he faces roadblocks in his plans, he manages to adjust them in his favor and turn it into success.
Dead Rising 2: Case Zero:[]
- When he and Katey are surrounded by zombies, he gets her to safety inside a gas station and then barricades the door using a vending machine, before setting off through a back entrance to find her zombrex.
- After hearing that military soldiers will arrive for quarantine in Still Creek at 21:00, he thinks of a way to escape the town by repairing a motorcycle he finds in a nearby rubbish cart.
- Over the course of his stay in Still Creek, he rescues 13 survivors, fixes the motorcycle and defeats a psychopathic mechanic named Jed who wanted to kill Katey and add her to his collection of zombie kills.
- After repairing the bike, he manages to escape from the military before being overrun and successfully prevents Katey from being taken to quarantine.
Dead Rising 2:[]
- Despite the arena he and Katey are in being overrun by zombies and having to carry Katey, he manages to escape into the nearby bunker with other survivors.
- He fights off a trio of looters who are harassing a survivor and then escorts her to safety after finding zombrex that he came for.
- After being framed for the outbreak, Chuck becomes determined to prove his innocence and repeatedly risks his own life throughout the game in order to uncover the truth behind what has happened.
- He single handedly fights through a group of Tyrone Kings men to capture Tyrone, only barely failing as Tyrone detached his train cart from the one Chuck was on and started firing at him.
- He manages to fight off both of the Bailey twins after Rebecca Chang has been captured by them and subsequently saves Rebecca.
- When Tyrone attempts to get away on his helicopter, Chuck attaches a winch to the helicopter and manages to destroy it by damaging the propeller and captures Tyrone despite the helicopter shooting at him as he does this.
- Upon seeing that Rebecca is in danger with her following Sgt. Boykin into a tunnel, Chuck goes outside of the safe house to rescue her despite seeing enhanced variants of zombies named 'Gas Zombies' rip apart military soldiers with no fear.
- He saves Rebecca from Boykin and successfully gets her back to the safe house despite her leg being injured.
- When the safe house is breached and flooded with zombies, Chuck manages to save everyone by rewiring the controls for the door using a gas barrel, a spool of wire and a generator.
- He goes down into a Phenotrans base all by himself in order to find evidence to clear his name and successfully finds a laptop of evidence and a walkie talkie.
- After Raymond Sullivan betrays him and the others and makes an escape with the laptop and the walkie talkie, Chuck chases after him and defeats him in a fist fight, subsequently managing to kill Sullivan by attaching a pair of handcuffs to his parachute and a rail, causing him to split himself in half.
- While Sullivan gets away with the laptop, the walkie talkie is left behind and Chuck uses it to call for rescue helicopters to save everyone from the incoming firebombing.
- After being overrun by zombies in an elevator, Chuck tells Stacey Forsythe to take care of Katey and requests to be left behind, leaving him to fight off the zombies in the elevator all by himself.
- In Overtime Mode, he successfully defeats Tyrone and saves Katey and Stacey after Tyrone attempts to have them fed alive to zombies.
- Over the course of his stay in Fortune City, he rescues 65 people, defeats 23 psychopaths and manages to save around 80 people from the outbreak in the end.
Dead Rising 2: Case West:[]
- He and Frank West both infiltrate a Phenotrans facility to find evidence that will clear Chuck's name, fighting through multiple zombies and Phenotrans staff during their stay.
- He and Frank both retrieve the evidence that Phenotrans are behind the outbreak and fight off a duo of soldiers after the alarm is tripped.
- When Isabela is trapped inside the Secure Labs, Chuck comes up with the idea to cut the power by destroying the generator to break into it and override the locking mechanism which works after he and Frank retrieve C4 and a detonator.
- He and Frank both manage to fight off Harjit Singh despite him having all of the advantages against them and the two subsequently escape with the evidence, ultimately clearing Chuck's name.
Dead Rising 3:[]
- After Katey ran away from home due to feeling like she was a burden to Chuck, he started looking for her and never gave up even after 2 years.
- He manages to pinpoint Katey's location in Los Perdidos and has a member of his named Gary Finkel search for her all over the city, managing to capture her subsequently before Gary betrayed him.
- Despite really wanting to kill Gary for letting Katey go, he has enough self control to not do it after seeing how happy Gary was to be with his wife Rhonda again.
- When he finally reunites with Katey, he doesn't hold any resentment towards her for running away and simply tells her that he is the one that is a burden as he isn't proud of the stuff he has done.
- Upon hearing that Hemlock intends to create a bio-weapon out of the King zombies, he aids Nick with stopping him and simply tells Nick he sees this as a chance for Nick to prove he is worthy of being Katey's boyfriend.
- He feels a lot of remorse for becoming a crime lord and tells Nick that he is no longer going to be a bad guy and wants to redeem himself.
- After escaping the city, a cure is made out of Nick's blood and Katey is cured of infection, finally making Chuck's work over the past 13 years pay off and allow the two to live a normal life again.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- He becomes a crime lord after the events of Case West so he would be able to get Katey's zombrex after feeling stressed out about traditional zombrex being outlawed and not being able to buy it and the game makes it clear Chuck has done stuff he regrets.
- He was going to kill Gary in revenge for letting Katey go, only deciding against it because he had never seen Gary so happy before when he found his wife.

- His Off the Record counterpart can't qualify as MB due to being too mentally unstable and insane.
