It’s designed to be offensive. Outrage is a drug. Listen to me, the second you tweet that word, CNN is no longer talking about how you just boned the teacher’s union. Trust me, Senator. Post it.
~ Clint telling a senator to post a controversial tweet to distract from them ruining a teacher's union

Clint Briggs is the deuteragonist of the 2022 Christmas musical comedy, Spirited. He is the CEO of Briggs Media Group, a media consulting company who causes controversy to help their clients. Clint is targeted by the Christmas spirits in an attempt to reform him.

He was portrayed by Ryan Reynolds, who also played Nolan Booth from Red Notice.

What Makes Him Magnificent?[]

  • Ryan Reyonds gives him a charming and hilarious performance with several laughable moments.
  • Runs a successful media consulting company that has gotten several politicians elected thanks to his tactics.
  • Manages to convince an union of Christmas tree sellers that hate him into starting a culture war over sellers of artificial trees by charming them with a musical number.
  • Even before he redeems himself, he is still shown to care for his sister as he is able to be guilt tripped into helping his niece win school council president by pointing out that he promised his sister to help niece out when she needed it.
  • Has his assistant, Kimberly, dig up information on his niece's opponent where she finds an incriminating video of him insulting homeless people.
  • Annoys Jacob Marely into quitting haunting him by interrupting his haunt by asking him why if his haunt is like the Christmas Carol story and why he is being targeted instead of murderers, racists, and people who throw gender reveal parties.
  • Manages to seduce the Ghost of Christmas Past to the point where he ends up in a relationship with her.
  • Instead of being broken by his awful childhood, he takes it as a lesson that he can manipulate people into believing whatever he wants.
  • Ends up befriending Present and encourages him to loosen up and tries to help him get together with Kimberly.
  • Is happy for her ex-girlfriend for starting a family.
  • Deduces that Present is projecting his desire to start a family onto him and that he considers himself irredeemable.
  • While he does try to ruin a sixth grader's reputation to help his niece win School Council president, he is shown to feel guilty when he gets humiliated as a result and tries to stop it when it is shown he will commit suicide as a result.
  • Redeems himself when he sacrifices his life to save Present from getting hit by a bus.
  • Offers to become the new Ghost of Christmas Present and ends up having more haunts centered around more holidays so more people could get redeemed each year.
  • Even if he is subject to a few freakouts such as running away from the memory of his sister in the hospital and realizing he died, he ends up overcoming his fear of the memory and regains himself after the latter.
  • While he does tend to get some undignified moments such as tripping getting slapped with chains, slipping on ice while trying to reach Wren, hitting his head after falling on the stairs causing him to get briefly disoriented, and flying into a truck after getting hit by a bus which kills him, a lot of them are brief with none of them being dragged out for long and he recovers from them.

What Makes Him a Baddie?[]

  • Has a history of causing controversy and conflict with his business tactics.
  • Starts a culture war between natural and artificial Christmas tree sellers that ends up growing so out of control that it ends up being talked about on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
  • Ruined a woman's life with his tactics.
  • Admits to Present that despite preventing a kid's suicde, he hasn't reformed and will still go back to his tactics or causing controversy.
