Corvus is the major antagonist and final boss of the video game Dragon Quest IX. He is Celestrian that act as Aqualia’s mentor and the guardian of Wormwood Creek, but was imprisoned and tortured by Gittish Empire, and left to be forgotten in this cell for 300 years. This causing him to develop a bitter hatred towards mortals, Celestrians and even Zenus, eventually corrupting him into a fallen Celestrian.
What makes him magnificent ?[]
- Has a very sympathetic background of seemingly being betrayed by his love ones, and then is capture and tortured by Gittish Empire, and is left to rot in his cell for 300 years.
- When defending Wormwood Creek, he easily defeated the Gittish Empire soldiers even when injured.
- Single handley spilt Zenus, the god of the game into ten corrupted monsters.
- Resurrected Gittish Empire to use them as his unwitting pawns to destroy all mortals.
- Is a no-nonsense villain who doesn't waste his time to gloat, instantly use his superior ranking in Celestrian to his advantage to beat the hero.
- Resurrected the Triumgorates, three powerful lieutenants of the Gittish Empire to guard the Realm of Mighty.
- He also put some of the most powerful monster in Realm of Mighty.
- When beaten by the heroes for the first time, he simply made a strategic retreat to evolve into a more powerful form.
- When beaten by the heroes for the final time, he decided to simply unleash all of his power at once, coming very close to his goal.
- Is able to redeem himself after Serena explains the truth to him, even apologising to the heroes and thanking them for stopping him.
What makes him a bastard[]
- His goal is to destroy all of existence.
- Resurrected the evil Gittish Empire to let them cause chaos
- Since he also blasted the Observatory when attacking The Realm of Almighty, Corvus is responsible for the hero falling to the mortal realm and the Fyggs scattering across the mortal realm, leading to crisis across mortal realm.
- Corrupted the Realm of Almighty into the Realm of Mighty.
