Count Dracul, or simply Dracula, is the main antagonist of the short-lived 1994 animated series, Monster Force. he is the vicious and theatrical lord of the night, ruler of all vampires who once ruled the world before being defeated by an unknown force. Despite this, he gets back up on the feet with new schemes constantly, becoming the archenemy of Dr. Reed Crawley and the Monster Force and becoming their most dangerous adversary.
He is voiced by Robert Bockstael.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- Despite being Pure Evil, even in Dracula's vilest moments, he always accentuates his usual charming Faux Affably Evil and elegant flair he usually does and it generally helps a lot of Dracula's acts have undergone some pretty hefty censorship so his actions don't come across as too vile.
- Uses Luke Talbot as bait to lure the Monster Force to a trap and steal the Amulet of Amaterasu from under their noses.
- Convinces Luke into embracing his werewolf side, tricking him into becoming his eternal minion.
- Rallies up a large group of vampires and manipulates them into enacting a ritual to end up gaining the power to become a god for himself.
- Using the disguise of Bram Stoker, he lures the Monster Force to a well-laid trap faking the deaths of most of the Monster Force to lure Reed into a trap and driving him to despair, psychologically weakening and nearly eliminating Reed.
- Makes a lopsided deal with Imhotep and manipulates him to be his pawn to kill Shelly and manipulate Frank to his side upon noticing their bond.
- Swiftly acts on an attempted mutiny by Valdemir and easily thwarts to ensure he retains control over the vampires.
- To make this more impressive, he casually walks into Valdemir's traps while calling comfortable and then telling him to his face he should've just asked him to come over for a challenge than unnecessarily causing ruckus.
- Always frequently gets back at his feet in every loss, and gets back on his feet, frequently faking his destruction and death to fight again. A great example is when Imhotep betrays Dracula and is now buried alive, Dracula has Renfield dig it up to simply try again.
- Disguising Renfield as himself and taking the form of a rat, Dracula made a daring attack on the Monster Force's base, easily thwarting their security system and using Renfield as a distraction as he frees every monster the Force has captured to lay havoc to the base as a distraction to take over the world, a scheme in which he nearly succeeds in.
- Ultimately, no matter whenever Dracula is defeated, he would easily bounce back up and plots for another day, having faked his own death multiple times, heavily implied to be the looming shadow in the series' final scene, making him a straight up Karma Houdini.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- Has some downright sadistic plots to kill the heroes that go above the baseline, such as trapping Luke in his lycanthropic form and sic him to kill his close friends and later forcing Reed to hear his team seemingly die and then be defenseless as Dracula makes them his vampire slaves and has them try and kill Reed while he can't defend himself out of being in despair.
- Brainwashed countless humans into becoming vampires by biting and draining them off their blood to rob them off their humanity centuries ago, one of them being a Monster Force member accompanying Luke.
- He murdered the real Bram Stoker years ago and used a disguise for the aforementioned sadistic plot.
- Attempted to unleash the Eternal Night in order for his forces to terrorize and take over Earth.
- Attempted to kill a large group of vampires for the sake of gaining all the power to become a god for himself.
- When the heroes created a machine that cures vampirism and frees all the vampires from Dracula's control, Dracula destroys the cure when hit by it, destroying any chances for most of his victims to be normal again and it shows he happily embraces his monstrous nature by rejecting his own humanity.
