Count Vlad Dracula is the secondary antagonist of the Monsters arc in the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. Once the Count that reigned supreme over Transylvania, he was eventually recruited by Savanti Romero as the most dangerous monster under his employ. In truth, Dracula has his own treacherous agenda.
He was voiced by Chris Sarandon.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- Separates Raph from the rest of the team and turn him into a vampire, using him to spy on the Turtles and thwart all their attempts to either kill Dracula or stop his and/or Savanti's plans.
- Using Raph, he lures the team to a trap into his castle and nearly destroy them. Even when Leo nearly shoots a stake at Dracula, he prepared and have Raph crush the stake and thwart the heroes' plans.
- Uses his hypnosis powers to make Savanti appear like a normal human scientist, and use this to manipulate Victor Frankenstein into creating his infamous monster, and then enthralling him to his control.
- Sows chaos across New York City and make it nearly his domain, using Casey and April's knowledge to track the Turtles down to their lair to claim the Staff, leading to Donnie becoming a vampire.
- Performs a coup that nearly succeeded, only failing because the Time Scepter is too advanced technologically for Dracula to comprehend, which is understandable considering he is from the 16th century. Savanti never saw the coup coming, and even when he tries to dispose of him, Dracula ends up killing the Mummy sent to destroy him, making the both of them realize they should be partners at an equal level.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- Is a vampirical tyrant who is heavily implied to have killed loads of people or turned them all to be his brainwashed vampire minions.
- Brainwashed Raph to be his evil right-hand and turns him against his own brothers.
- Attempts to bite Esmeralda to turn her into a vampire.
- Unleashes his wolves across New York City to turn them all into vampires
- Tries to betray Savanti and turn all the early humans into vampires to reign supreme over time and space.
