Dr. Albert Krueger is the titular main antagonist of the horror indie visual novel Therapy with Dr. Albert Krueger created by Dino999z.

He is an enigmatic but affable ‘therapist’ working as CEO for Krueger Health Solutions. In reality, he invades the dreams of his patients and either recruits them or uses them as fuel for his Dream Eater army. One patient is the main protagonist, Taylor Lee.

What Makes Him Magnificent?[]

  • He’s very affable and charming, always speaking in a polite tone, complimenting Taylor and having multiple comedic moments.
  • He created a machine allowing him to access people’s dreams and bring them to his corporation. Reviews imply he’s done this to atleast four other people before Taylor.
  • He’s been creating an army of ‘Dream Eaters’ to protect his home, the G2 District, from an unspecified threat, which would make him a well-intentioned extremist.
  • Once taken to his corporation, he puts Taylor through a fake therapy session where he probes their mental state to determine if they’re useful or not.
  • No matter the outcome of his therapy sessions, Krueger always comes out on top:
    • If Taylor has demonstrates themself as mediocre, Krueger kills them and uses them as fuel for his Dream Eater army while thanking them for their contribution.
    • If Taylor has demonstrates themself as useful to his cause, he’ll transform them into a Dream Eater to serve in his army.
  • He has insecurities treated with sympathy, as he misses his time at university and his olds friends, in which Taylor encourages him to get back in touch with them.
  • In the good ending, Krueger becomes fond of Taylor and sends them back to the real world without harming them. The after credits show he still keeps in touch with them and seems to be in a better mental state.
  • While he has one moment where loses composure, loudly jumpscaring Taylor when they find an old sketch of his, he immediately apologies and returns to his affable state.
  • Despite not even being a professional therapist, he excels at mental manipulation and is genuinely good at his job.

What Makes Him a Baddie?[]

  • He drags people, unwillingly in Taylor’s case, into his corporation and forces them through an invasive and highly personal therapy session, of which he technically isn’t qualified for.
  • He steals an eyeball from one of his patients and is implied to have killed another for drunkenly interrupting his session.
  • He kills patients he deems mediocre and feeds them to his Dream Eater army.
  • He turns patients he finds useful into Dream Eaters, which is shown to be a painful and horrific transformation.
  • While he does let go Taylor and is now on friendly terms with them, he never explicitly atones and shows remorse for his other crimes.
