Fawful is one of the main antagonists of the Mario & Luigi series, being the secondary antagonist of Superstar Saga, a minor character in Partners in Time and the main antagonist of Bowser's inside Story. He is a mad scientist from the Beanbean Kingdom who serves Cackletta and aids her world domination plans, before gathering the resources to take over both kingdoms.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- He is a hardworking genius who climbs his way up from being a sidekick to a powerful mastermind.
- He is incredibly funny, as his dialogue consists of weird food metaphors and many other funny jokes, resulting in almost everything he says being comedy gold, with the only other two Mario antagonists who come close to rivaling Fawful in terms of comedy being Bowser and Dimentio.
- He is extremely intelligent and manipulative, as he outsmarted and manipulated everyone throughout all three games in his way to world domination, with an example being when he saw through Mario and Luigi's trick of attempting to give him a fake Beanstar.
- He is great at building cool and powerful weapons and machines with his face on it.
- He faced the powerhouse Bowser alone with no fear despite being much weaker than him.
- He is the most intelligent and competent villain of the series, being successful in taking over both kingdoms and being the closest to kill Mario, Luigi, and Bowser.
- He proved himself to not only be a loyal henchman to Cackletta, but also an affable boss to Midbus even telling him that Midbus has pride before Bowser fights Bilzard Midbus.
- Despite being one of the weakest characters in the series with hardly any strength at all, he makes it up via his sheer intelligence. His expertise with machines, craftiness, intuition, and the Dark Star powers make him of the most powerful threats of the whole franchise, merging with the Dark Star in the final battle that is widely considered to be the best boss fight in the series.
- Despite his crimes, he does not cross the line of being so despicable to undermine his magnificence and he is never petty or hateable, with even of his worst acts of spreading an epidemic only making the Toads fat and not killing anyone.
- Not to mention there are other more heinous Mario villains like Princess Shroob, Cackletta, Antasma, Bowyer and even Bowser himself, which makes his villainy even more tame.
- While he does show a bit of cowardice in his second fight in Superstar Saga by staying inside of his dome until it gets too hot, this is thrown away entirely in Bowser's Inside Story, where he's brave enough to fight the much stronger Bowser one-on-one near the end of the game without relying on unfair tactics (albeit with help from the Dark Star, but still).
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- He assisted Cackletta in taking over the Beanbean Kingdom and helped her destroy the Kingdom's capital twice.
- He destroyed Bowser's airship for his hatred toward Mario and Luigi, which likely got most of Bowser's pilots and minions killed.
- He either knocked out the guard or possibly murdered him, even laughing about it.
- According to a fallen scientist, he assisted Cackletta in turning many scientists of Woohoo Hooniversity into mindless monsters whilst their original selves were wiped out, which also resulted in the deaths of some.
- He brainwashed Bowser's minions twice, leaving unbrainwashed victims in a cage the second time.
- He caused the blorbs epidemic, which made the Toads extremely overweight to the point that they'd destroy their homes and squash people when they'd roll onto them.
- He gave Bowser a Vacuum Mushroom, which caused him to inhale a large part of the forest and several innocent Toads just so Mario and Luigi would be out of the way.
- He ended up leaving Bowser in a cave to slowly rot immediately after he inhaled Mario and Luigi.
- He sent his robots to shoot Bowser's Castle, with a few to fall off it in original, as the castle is surrounded by lava, implies they died.
- He gave Bowser a victory feast to drop his guard so he'd fall into the room with explosives, which would cause him to get blown up.
- He mercilessly attacked Toad guards to obtain the Dark Star in order to take over the Mushroom Kingdom.
- He captured Peach to slowly drain her energy so he could bring back the Dark Star.
- From beginning to end, he never showed any hint of remorse for his evil actions. Despite knowing everything is over, he still attempted to kill Mario Brothers in self-destruction act for causing his downfall in the first place.
