Friend, or better known as No Name, is the deuteragonist of the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Jellyfish Hunter". He is a unique blue jellyfish initially serving as a worthy adversary for SpongeBob to be captured. However, as the story progressed, Friend reveals himself as a ruthless anti-hero deeply caring towards his own kin and tries his best to save his kin that was imprisoned by SpongeBob's boss, Mr. Krabs, no matter what it takes.

He was voiced by Tom Kenny, who also did some voicework for Master Udon from the same show.

What Makes Him Magnificent?

• Gave SpongeBob a rather good sport when he attempts to capture him despite SpongeBob being a professional jellyfish hunter, able to essentially outmaneuver SpongeBob so that he manages to escape without a hitch.
• Managed to figure out Mr. Krabs evil plan after all of the Jellyfishes in Jellyfish fields are caught by SpongeBob. In addition, he also shows his deep care towards his fellow brethren after the Jellyfish are caught.
• Managed to evade suspicions when attempting to stalk SpongeBob to his home.
• Managed to persuade SpongeBob to go against his boss after showing the appalling conditions the latter had done towards the Jellyfish.
• He let himself get captured by SpongeBob with grace, even as so far letting SpongeBob giving him his own name because of the fact that he saw the kindness within SpongeBob's heart.

What Makes Him a Baddie?

• Despite his well-intentioned goal attempting to free his brethren, he used underhanded tactics to achieve his goal. Such underhanded tactics include:
  • Relentlessly stalking SpongeBob which causes him to be afraid and retreat to his home.
  • Intentionally causing a blackout in SpongeBob's home.
  • Luring SpongeBob by using a trap.
  • Trapping SpongeBob in a jar so that he could bring him to a factory where Mr. Krabs imprisoned and enslaved the Jellyfish to appalling conditions.
