Grigory Yefimovich Rasputin (Григорий Ефимович Распутин) is the main antagonist (alongside Joseph Stalin) of the Possible History halloween special "What if Stalin Commanded Zombies?". In the special, Rasputin is portrayed as a genuine warlock, who anticipated his death and began a long and bloody plan to not only return to life, but take over the world.

He is voiced by Possible History.

What Makes him Magnificent?[]

  • Is a play on the common tropes about Rasputin who is given a hammy, yet mysterious and unsettling aura by the channels creator.
  • Hides his soul in a book due to anticipating his death.
  • Contacts Stalin by pretending to be the book itself, manipulating him with promises of an eternal life and an immortal army.
  • Helps Stalin create zombies to push back the Germans.
  • Goads Stalin into killing more and people to feed on their souls so he can return to life, subtly threatening him with Tsar Nicholas' fate to cow him.
  • Tricks the Politburo into getting killed by his zombies after possessing Stalin, having designed zombies to do administrative tasks in their place with none of their disloyalty.
  • Tactically retreats from most territories the USSR occupied, sending in aquatic zombies to crush the allies while their armies are in Russia.
  • Is all but stated to have succeeded in all his goals with little repercussions bar a twenty year delay, despite several blunders on Stalin's part.

What Makes Him a Bastard?[]

  • Is vaguely implied to have killed Tsar Nicholas II.
  • Gets Stalin to kill tens or even hundreds of millions of people to grow his hordes and return to a physical body by harvesting their souls.
  • Hijacks Stalin's body when he attains the souls he needs to come back to life.
  • Kills the Politburo by sicking his zombies on them, not needing them to rule further and wanting to avoid opposition.
  • Continues the war after Stalin dies, intent on total conquest.
