Haku is a supporting antagonist in Naruto. He is a orphan raised by the ruthless assassin Zabuza Momochi, who has dedicated his life to serving him and serves as the first major fight to both Naruto and Sasuke.
What Makes him Magnificent?[]
- Despite his unassuming appearance (to the point of even being mistaken for a girl), he is a powerful, agile and efficient fighter who even Zabuza seems to see as stronger than him.
- In contrast to Gato and even his own sadistic mentor Zabuza, Haku is consistently affable, kind and respectful, even to his opponents with Zabuza even claiming that he would go to Heaven unlike him and Gato.
- He has a tragic past of his father killing his mother and attempting to kill him just for his bloodline Kekke Genkai, leading to him having to kill him and a few others in self-defense.
- Despite Zabuza claiming to only see him as a tool, he has dedicated his entire life towards serving him for giving him a purpose.
- While passing Kimimaro on the street, he sympathizes with him, recognizing their similar nature.
- Saves Zabuza from being killed by Kakashi through disguising himself as a Hidden Mist hunter and seemingly killing him with a non-lethal poison.
- When Gato belittles him and Zabuza he gets through his guards and breaks his hand.
- Has a pleasant conversation about the people they care about with Naruto while in his civilian attire.
- Traps both Sasuke and later Naruto in his Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals and bombards them with needles while moving from mirror to mirror with a speed practically invisible to the bare eye.
- It's further heavily implied that he could have killed both Naruto and Sasuke fairly easily but deliberately only hit non-vital spots due to only wanting to immobilize them.
- Defeats Sasuke who passes out and seemingly dies after protecting Naruto from one of his attacks.
- Has both Naruto and Sasuke on the ropes for the entire fight and is only defeated by Naruto acessing the Chakra of the Nine-Tails.
- Takes his defeat by Naruto in stride and even wants him to kill him due to thinking he has failed his purpose to Zabuza.
- Sacrifices himself for Zabuza by taking Kakashi's finishing blow for him, wanting Zabuza to cut through him to kill Kakashi.
- His death makes Zabuza realise he cared for Haku and causes him to kill Gato at the cost of his life.
- Proves himself as a useful asset to Kabuto's Edo Tensei zombie army, while showing satisfaction at Naruto's growth and tearing up after learning that Zabuza loved him, all the while pleading Kakashi to reseal him.
What Makes Him A Baddie?[]
- Devoted his life to a ruthless assassin and mercenary like Zabuza, assisting him in clearly immoral actions like trying to kill Tazuna for Gato.
- Heavily injured Sasuke during their duel.
