“ | Don't call me that word. I don't like things that elevate me about the other people. I'm just like you. Oh, sure, I come later in the day, I get paid a lot more and I take longer vacations, but I don't like the word "boss". | „ |

Hank Scorpio is the dueturagonist of The Simpsons episode "You Only Move Twice".
He is the CEO of Globex Corporation who Homer Simpsons works for when the Simpson family moves to Cyprus Creek. He is a supportive and encouraging boss who turns out to be a supervillain who plans to take over the East Coast using the Doomsday Device.
He was voiced by Albert Brooks.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- When Homer Simpson and his family moved to Cyprus Creek, Hank Scorpio came over to their new house with a gift basket to welcome Homer to his new home, with it being revealed during this welcoming that he was on a fun run, which helped raise money for the men, women, and children of Cyprus Creek, showing that he cares for the residents of his hometown.
- He went out of his way to Homer feel comfortable as an employee at Globex Corporation, revealing that he doesn't to be viewed as superior to his employees, wanting Homer to simply call him Hank instead of "boss".
- He's a great and encouraging boss in general, listening to ideas that his employees have on how to improve Globex Corporation and giving them all free dental care and healthcare.
- He's so good of a boss, that he can get Homer of all people to do good at his job, giving him the job of supervising the workers of the nuclear division of Globex Corporation, which didn't end in complete disaster.
- He has plenty of comedic moments, such as when he asks Homer if he can hang up his coat, only to reveal that he is just joking around as a way to show that he doesn't view his employees as inferior to himself, quickly putting his coat back on while Homer isn't looking, accidentally putting it on the wrong way while making a joke that he never even gave Homer his coat.
- His twist reveal as a supervillain is so shocking that you can't help but laugh as well. What makes this even funnier is that Homer is oblivious to the fact that Hank is a supervillain at all, just seeing him as a kind-hearted boss.
- He has his own theme song,[1] which gives him bonus points in magnificence.
- He is extremely charismatic as shown both with his friendship with his employees and his attitude towards threats to his plan to take over the East Coast.
- He only harmed those who got in the way of his villainous goals, not wanting to hurt anyone innocent such as children, or those who are loyal to him like his henchmen and employees at Globex.
- He is a parody of James Bond villains, showing his villainous side by taunting Agent Bont (another parody as well) while he has him strapped to a machine that would've killed him using a laser.
- He acts as a foil to Homer's usual boss Mr. Burns, as while Burns is cold, demeaning, and hostile, Hank is kind-hearted, encouraging, and friendly.
- While Bont does briefly escape, Hank's loyalty and care towards his employees pay off as he asks everyone to try and stop Bont from escaping, as he is knocked out by Homer, who is still oblivious to the fact that Hank is a supervillain.
- Hank then ordered his henchmen to kill Bont, successfully taking out his rival.
- When Homer reveals that he is going back to Springfield to support his family who doesn't feel happy at Cyprus Creek, Hank shows no ill will towards him, encouraging him to do what is best for himself and his family.
- As revealed in a newspaper article, Hank succeeded in his goal of taking over the East Coast using the Doomsday Device, getting away with all his crimes, and considering how good of a boss he is, he likely improved the East Coast after his takeover.
- He sent a letter to Homer, showing his gratitude towards Homer for helping him with his goals, stating that he and his family are welcome to come to the East Coast any time, and even buying the Denver Broncos football team as a gift for Homer to show his gratitude.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- While demanding a ransom of gold from the U.S. government in an act of terrorism, he blew up the Queensboro Bridge just to show that he was serious and a genuine threat.
- He is responsible for the death of Agent Bont, and possibly more during his hostile takeover of the East Coast.
Trivia[]
- He was originally going to be the main antagonist of The Simpsons Movie before getting replaced by Russ Cargill. If this idea was kept, it might've affected his status as MB.
