Hyperlaser is a playable character in the 2021 Roblox game PHIGHTING!, serving as one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside The Broker) of the game's lore.
He is a mercenary working at Blackrock, who also works closely with Subspace and the Biografts. At some point in his life, Hyperlaser would end up in a traumatic accident that scarred his face with burns and reduced his horns to stubs. Nonetheless, in the present, he continues working for them for personal reasons. He is introduced as the eighth Phighter in the game, having appeared in Wave 3.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- He is very skilled at his mercenary job, managing to rack up the highest kill count in the game (aside from the deities) using nothing but his gear, which comes in the form of a large railgun.
- He has a cool yet sympathetic backstory where he lost all of his friends and colleagues to Blackrock, as well as getting into an accident which left him with severe burns, blindness, and his horns reduced to stubs, nearly killing him. He only decides to work for Blackrock still due to personal matters, and only views his work nowadays as a side gig.
- Being a Ranged Phighter, Hyperlaser mostly stays at the back, attacking enemies from far away by shooting lasers from his railgun.
- If at any point he were to be confronted up-close, Hyperlaser can throw a grenade at them which, if he's in vicinity, gives him and any other ally in its range a speed boost whilst damaging his attackers. This allows him not only to swiftly escape, but to damage and potentially kill his foes.
- Alternatively, if he secures a distance so no enemies can reach him, Hyperlaser can use an ability to teleport to a new location and start attacking from there. This shows that he knows how to get out a situation if he feels like he's in danger, as well as fight back from said distance. It also gives him plenty of time to recover whatever health or shield he may have lost.
- Despite racking up the highest kill count out of any of the Phighters, as well as being a mercenary for the notoriously vile Blackrock, Hyperlaser is the friendliest villain in the game, being polite to everyone he speaks to and making sure nobody messes around so that they do not die in battle, showing great care and concern for his teammates.
- Although he works for Subspace, he is not above killing him or Biograft due to his dislike of the former, as proven when he kills either one of them during a match, alongside a spoken line of dialogue that expresses his distaste for them.
- Should he kill an enemy Scythe, he will throw some cool remarks about how he is the better sniper, and how he had the better aim that time.
- He is a good friend towards Katana, trying to help him move past his problems and vice versa. He's willing to listen to Katana about his past, and they are always friendly in conversations.
- Although he doesn't feel remorse for the rest of the deaths he caused, he does apologises to Katana should he kill him on the opposing team, showing that he isn't fully incapable of remorse.
- Despite getting annoyed a few times, it is always in a calm manner, as he doesn't blow up at the person that had annoyed him, nor does he lose his cool to the point of shouting.
- In-canon, he has a pet cat called Princess, and takes care of her very well, showing that he is gentle when it comes to animals and refuses to hurt them. In his QnA video, it's revealed that one of his ambitions is to make enough money to take care of her.
- In his official QnA video, Hyperlaser manages to remain calm and focused, even when asked with tough and hard-to-answer questions.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- He is a mercenary for Blackrock, born to be a soldier and nothing else. During his time working for them, past and (reluctantly) present, he has killed countless people even as side gigs and, if one of his basic kill dialogues is of any indication, for Bux, which has earned him the second-highest kill count out of anybody in the entire game aside from the deities. This also means he has the highest kill count of all the Phighters, which is saying something.
- He assists the team he is on in destroying the opposing team, often making remarks of how he never misses and acting as if he's just eliminated a target and is ready to move onto the next one. His skillset shows how he kills his targets in lore. Depending on how he is played, Hyperlaser can end up with a high kill count, which may lead to him winning the match overall.
- If he kills an opposing Medkit, he will either remark that he cannot trust him, or that he shot down the Medkit just for Subspace.
- He occasionally makes cruel remarks towards his enemies upon killing them.
- Should he kill an opposing Scythe, he will mention some lines about claiming the bounty put on her for himself, and the Bux that comes with it in one instance.

- Hyperlaser is, so far, the only Magnificent Baddie from PHIGHTING!, as well as the first ROBLOX Magnificent Baddie as a whole.
