Jack Lane is a major protagonist in the Looperverse, serving as the main protagonist of the 330 Hours web story duology and one of the four main protagonists (along with Amelia Kent, Adam Hemmensway, and Lenny Jones) of the 2022 web story Project A75. He is a teenager from the country of Poplaton who was chosen to compete in the latest Program (a series of decennial games where young men from different countries are forced to fight for world leadership).
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- Rigged an entire battle by manipulating every single soldiers on the opposing side.
- Constantly uses brainwork and teamwork to outsmart his enemies.
- Possesses a huge amount of intelligence that allows him to do things like hacking into government networks and coming up with the elaborate scheme to defeat Gold.
- Has a lot of charisma and treats his allies well.
- Ultimately ends Yofren's tyrannical rule.
- Spends Project A75 playing both the main heroes and Mr. Pink in order to get the recipe to the Atlius drug and send it to his future allies, thus outplaying and defeating Pink.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- Engaged in criminal activities in the past.
- Bombed several innocent Yofrenians and threatened to kill Gold's innocent grandchildren, all to force him to surrender.
- Committed several ruthless crimes including torture to track down Mr. Pink.
- Manipulated Amelia, Lenny, and Adam, while being heavily implied to have deliberately gotten the latter killed, in order to defeat Pink for good.
