Jericho Swain, also known as the Noxian Grand General, is one of the main antagonists of League of Legends
The Leader of Noxus as a member of the Trifax for Vison, Swain after being betrayed by his nation's ruler gained control of the Demon Raum and usurped control of Noxus from Boram Darkwill. Reshaping the Nation of Noxus according to his vision, Swain seeks to conquer the world to avert a threat he has foresaw in the future
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- While being the leader of an imperialist empire who seeks to conquer the world, Swain is a fair ruler who truly believes that anyone can rise in Noxus willingly elevating anyone no matter their, status, gender, or past as long as they prove themselves worthy. Despite his willingness to sacrifice lives for his cause, he does care for his country and people seeks to protect them and truly believes that the world will be protected under Noxus' rule.
- Swain maintains an aura of authority to him no matter where he speaks and possesses dry wit no matter the situation and keeps a collected head, allowing him to asses and confront any situation.
- Even before becoming Grand Gerneral, Swain was a skilled leader and tactician as he led many succefusl military campaigns in Shumira.
- While he has been tricked by LeBlanc into thinking he had wiped out the Black Rose and nearly died to a 14 year old Irelia, Swain refused to be claimed by the Demon Raum on death's door and dissovred through it that he had been used by both LeBlanc and Darkwill.
- He spent years learning how to master Raum's power and plotted a coup, ensuring that Draven was on his side for the Coup to ensure the loyalty of his brother Darius later and sent the Executioner Urgot to Zaun into a trap to prevent him from interfering with the coup, overthrowing the nation in a single night and killing Darkwill with his demonic power.
- He set up the Trifax, putting in place three leaders that resembled the core principles of strength in Noxus that being Vision (Swain himself), Might (Darius), and Guile (The Faceless One). Putting this system in place ensured no one ruler could go out of control without being reigned in by the other two, a contingency he also meant for himself in case the Demon Raum overtook him.
- He showed mercy to those willing to bend the knee and allowed those who refused the option of exile instead of death and began creating his ideal vision of Noxus by cracking down on inherited wealth, lordship, and slavery to ensure Noxus valued strength above all else.
- Via guiding events along to have Katarina Du Couteau kill Jarvan and face off against her father, going out of his way to save her in return for stopping her father, Marcus, from blowing up Immortal Bastion, successfully having her be the perfect heir again that is capable of killing even him in the event he goes rogue.
- Upon arriving at the current battle at Rokrund Plains he wisely assess the flaws in his general's strategy to win as certain strategies would either backfire or strengthen the enemy. He then prevents Brannin Granth from killing him, having deduced the Black Rose were behind this, all while revealing the true path to victory was sacrifice.
- He prevents a secession of the Delverhold by installing Alyssa in charge of it to keep order after she proves her worth by seeing through his attempt to trick her into killing her brother via dressing him up as the Faceless One.
What Makes him a Baddie?[]
- He is the leader of an imperialist nation that seeks to conquer the world and is currently in the process of trying to invade the peaceful Ionia again.
- He is willing to sacrifice his own soldiers in battle if it means claiming victory.
- He uses the undead Sion as a scare tactic by having him raze cities to keep his territories in line
