“ | Winnie Harrelson: Ma'am, I'm not trying to mess this up. Julia: Mess this up? You made this possible. There was no plan until I met you. Your access, your easily manipulated kindness. I figured you might even understand after hearing you with your father earlier. No one man should own a family's history. Winnie: This is personal. This is about Toshiko. The cease and desist. Toshiko is your grandmother. Julia: She never saw a penny for her work, and now some man who doesn't even know her story is about to make money off of her art. Why shouldn't I take some of the millions that she's owed? Julia Soto will give her statement today and disappear before anybody realizes the jewels are gone. |

~ Julia explaining her motivation to Winnie. |
Ally Suzuki, also known as Julia Soto, is the main antagonist of the S.W.A.T. episode "Provenance". She is an intern at the Restoration Auction House who organises a plot to steal the Centennial Diamonds as revenge on their owner for profiting from her family's stolen artworks.
She was portrayed by Emmie Nagata.
What Makes Her Magnificent?[]
- She has a very sympathetic motive. Her grandmother was an interned Japanese-American whose paintings were stolen by a guard and sold to Mr. Feiner, who now stands to make millions of dollars by selling them again without her and her family seeing any of it.
- After getting a job at Restoration, she pretends to befriend Winnie Harrelson to take advantage of her access to all areas of the building.
- She secretly hires Noah Erickson to stage a heist at Restoration, letting him think they're stealing Toshiko's paintings when in fact he's providing cover for the theft of the diamonds.
- Her heist plan is very intelligent. She has Erickson steal a guard's keycard and use it to put the building in lockdown, and then set off all the alarms in the building so SWAT won't know what the target is. She then seals off Erickson's escape route so he'll panic and force the police to cut off the power, allowing her to reveal herself as the mastermind without it being recorded by the security cameras.
- During the heist, she fools everybody else into thinking she's an innocent hostage and stages a panic attack so that Winnie will let her into the secure vault containing the diamonds.
- She very nearly succeeds in killing Winnie and framing Erickson for everything, which would have allowed her to escape with the diamonds without being suspected.
What Makes Her a Baddie?[]
- She helps Erickson to take nine innocent people hostage, endangering their lives.
- She double-crosses Erickson by trying to kill him and then frame him as the mastermind, although he arguably deserves it.
- She threatens to torture and kill Winnie if she doesn't unlock the case containing the diamonds.
