Keiji Shibusawa is the secondary antagonist of Yakuza 0. He was one of three lieutenants of the Dojima Family (alongside Daisaku Kuze and Hiroki Awano), and the patriarch of the Shibusawa family. His goal is to surpass Shintaro Kazama and become known as the "Dragon of Dojima" and helps Sohei Dojima claim the Empty Lot so he can become the Dojima Family's captain.
He is voiced and portrayed in motion capture by Hideo Nakano.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- He hired two people to find Makoto Makimura, a young blind woman who is the owner of the empty lot. These include Jun Oda, the right-hand man of Tetsu Tachibana and employee of Tachibana's real estate business, and Homare Nishitani, the hedonistic leader of the Omi Alliance's Kijin Clan. When both of them failed and betrayed Shibusawa, he eliminated both of them.
- When Lao Gui, a hitman hired by the Dojima Family finds Tetsu Tachibana, Shibusawa hands him over to be tortured by Daisaku Kuze and the Kenno Clan, in order to find the whereabouts of Makoto Makimura.
- Shibusawa eventually finds Makoto and takes her to Sohei Dojima. After failing to conspire with her in order to get his hands on the Empty Lot, Dojima orders Lao Gui to shoot her. However, it's revealed Shibusawa ordered Lao Gui to non-fatally shoot her, Shibusawa later using her comatose body to draw out the Kazama family while atop the Nikkyo Consortium's cruise.
- Due to coming the closest to claiming the Empty Lot for Dojima, he is promoted to the captain of the Dojima Family.
- Before their fight, he tells Kiryu about his motivations. After walking in on his father hanging himself due to his corrupt boss' crimes being blamed on him, he decided to world was indiffirent to those who work with diligence. He decided to strive to surpass Kazama, and become the "Dragon of Dojima".
- He puts up a good fight against Kiryu, being his most powerful foe he has met thus far.
- After he is defeated by Kiryu, he mocks Kiryu, stating that he will kill him, as well as his allies. He urges Kiryu into killing kim so he can become a "true yakuza" like Kazama. This shows that he is not afraid of dying. After Kiryu's sworn brother Nishikiyama intervenes and stops Kiryu from murdering him, Shibusawa merely looks upwards as he accepts defeat.
What Makes Him A Baddie?[]
- Had the two people he ordered to find Makoto, Jun Oda and Homare Nishitani, murdered when they failed.
- Oversees Tachibana's torture courtesy of Kuze and Yoneda, and is thus indirectly responsible for Tachibana's death.
- He sent orders to eradicate anyone in the Tojo Clan who is connected to Shintaro Kazama.
- He took Makoto to Sohei Dojima in order to gain the empty lot, and later orders Lao Gui to shoot her as part of his plan. Even if this didn't kill her, it nevertheless put her into a coma.
- He attempted to kill Kiryu.
