The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
~ Verbal Kint's most famous quote.

Keyser Söze, also known as Roger "Verbal" Kint, is the main antagonist of the 1995 crime film The Usual Suspects. He is a notorious criminal mastermind who poses as a petty criminal and engineers a complicated scheme to kill a man who could identify him to the police.

He was portrayed by Kevin Spacey.

What Makes Him Magnificent?[]

  • He pretends to be Roger "Verbal" Kint, a person with a disability, to fool the police.
  • His true identity remains hidden until the end of the film.
  • Provides various iconic lines (for example: The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist).
  • Make up the whole story of Verbal through the objects that were in a room, with little time to prepare.
  • He manages to fool the authorities into believing that Keaton is the real Söze.
  • He wins completely at the end of the story and gets away with his crimes.

What Makes Him a Baddie?[]

  • He is a ruthless mastermind feared throughout the criminal underworld.
  • He murdered many Argentinians and Hungarians mobsters and smugglers on a ship, then set the ship on fire. It is revealed that at least fifteen people died.
  • If the legend that Söze narrates is true, Söze wiped out the entire Hungarian mafia, along with their families, friends and business partners. Although to be fair, the Hungarians had raped his wife.
