The Lady in Pink is the main antagonist of The Backyardigans television special "International Super Spy". The most evil evil-doer in the world, she is a masterful criminal and ingenious villain who works with Henchman Tyrone to steal three containers around the world.
She was voiced by LaShawn Tináh Jefferies, though her singing voice was provided by Jamia Simone Nash.
What Makes Her Magnificent?[]
- She's apparently one of the cleverest and evil villains in the whole world, according to Miss T, and has garnered a reputation as such.
- She manages to hide an entire secret base inside the Big Ben without being caught, and uses it to scheme her plans.
- She spies on Agent Secret when he goes to fulfill his assignment, and overhears his conversation with Austin about how the first container is at the glass building downtown.
- She waits for Agent Secret to obtain the first container, then has Henchman Tyrone steal it from him, and breaks into a song.
- When Secret heads to Switzerland to get his second location, she spies on him again, employing the same tactics and, learning from her past mistakes, decides to go to the Dare-Dairy Farm before Secret can.
- When she has to use a partner to open the pathway to the second container, she willingly works with Secret to do it, and compliments his dancing skills along the way.
- Once the second container is revealed, she tells Secret that his tie is crooked, distracting him into fixing it as she runs off with the container.
- She employs the same trick of spying on Secret and Austin yet again in the Caribbean, learning she has to go to Tiki Island.
- She and Henchman Tyrone, to avoid alerting Secret of their presence, use shark fins on their heads and sneak onto the island while hiding underwater so he doesn't know he's being followed.
- When Secret takes the last container and flies away, leaving her with zero containers, she quickly comes up with a second plan and kidnaps Miss T to use as a hostage to force Secret to give up the containers.
- When trading Secret the remote control for the briefcase full of containers, she takes the briefcase without handing over her remote control, verifies she has the containers, and then straps Secret to a tickle table to prevent him from interfering further.
- When Austin sneaks in disguised as a pizza delivery man, the Lady in Pink immediately recognizes him due to their earlier interactions, and straps him to a tickle table too to prevent him from saving Miss T and Agent Secret.
- When Secret manages to get the last container from her, she uses the hand of a tickle table to knock it away to Tyrone, and when he misses and Miss T gets it and tries to throw it back to Secret, she blocks it with a tickle table and tosses it to herself.
- When Secret saves her life, she's grateful and decides to redeem herself, and joins the team as a new international super spy alongside her henchman.
- While she has several humiliating defeats, such as having the container snatched out of her hand after she posed at the end of a song, crashing into a snowbank, and being tricked into closing her eyes and counting to ten, she quickly recovers from all three and, by the end, she nearly wins.
What Makes Her a Baddie?[]
- She's renowned as the most evil evil-doer in the whole world, and likely has committed many crimes before.
- She spies on Secret to get the locations of several containers so she can steal them.
- She kidnaps Miss T and threatens to tickle her, which is portrayed as a more light-hearted form torture.
