~ Grey's last words before killing himself |
Subject 6, also known as the Shadow Client and Lucas Grey, is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Carlton Smith) of the Hitman video game series, serving as the tritagonist of the World of Assassination trilogy. He served as the main antagonist of HITMAN before he progressively becomes one of the two tritagonists (alongside Olivia Hall) f both HITMAN 2 and HITMAN III.
He is one of the clone assassins created by Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer just like Agent 47, who is his best friend. After escaping from Dr. Ort-Meyer, Lucas Grey started his private militia and manipulated the ICA to eliminate Providence, he true organization behind Dr. Ort-Meyer and his project. Upon reawakening 47's memory and revealing his true identity, Lucas worked with 47 and intended to bring down Providence.
He is voiced by John Hopkins.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- When he and 47 were captured, he managed to fake his death to escape the warden.
- He is a very competent and smart assassin and spy, having successfully assassinated multiple Providence operatives and even switching names to "disappear".
- He managed to get many Providence allies like Viktor Novikov, Silvio Caruso, and Claus Strandberg killed by anonymously tasking 47 and his handler Diana through contracts.
- He received very important files thanks to Novikov, and managed to leak them.
- He murdered a Providence herald named Hajun and stole his key, thus robbing the New York bank vault belonging to Providence.
- He had Sean Rose successfully kidnap and kill Thomas Cross.
- He managed to get the ruthless drug lord Rico Delgado on his side by telling him he would have in exchange the man who killed his uncle and cousin (47).
- He is a genuine anti-villain who only wants revenge against the organization that stole his and 47's lives, making the audience sympathise with him, especially compared to the Partners and many more villains in the series who are 100% more loathsome than Grey.
- In spite of his ruthlessness he is quite a gentleman with women, like reassuring Olivia when she thought 47 was looking after her, and to Diana to whom he apologized for her parents' unfortunate deaths.
- He raided a Ether laboratory and took a sample of what seems to be a virus, and then blew up the complex by detonating a bomb on a tied up scientist.
- He kidnapped Neleis de Waal and had him out Providence's identity and crimes to the world.
- He managed to get 47 and Diana on his side by showing back 47's memories, and reminding him his past friendship with him.
- He had 47 assassinate Janus and Nolan Cassidy at Whittelton Creek, and even try to incriminate the old man as the shadow client, thus putting Providence into jeopardy for a brief time.
- He had 47 kill the Washington twins and kidnap Arthur Edwards at the Isle of Sgail.
- He managed to help 47 kill the Partners after Edwards ratted them out.
- Although he did commit suicide to avoid being captured by Edwards, he did it not out of cowardliness, but simply because having himself between the malevolent Constant's hands would be very dangerous and also to prevent 47 from blowing his own cover by trying to rescue Grey.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- He is still an assassin and a terrorist who killed countless people, even if they were all assholes and worse than him.
- He hired depraved individuals in his private militia like the infamous bomber Sean Rose who murdered children or Alma Reynard who was a torturer that had no qualms with collateral damage.
