“ | What's with all the weird looks? Fine. Let me explain everything. I fought Landia by myself and lost. So I fled to Planet Popstar. That's when the thought struck me... I could have you defeat Landia for me! A stroke of genius, I know. You even helped me repair my Starcutter. I really did appreciate that, by the way. Anyway... MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The time has come for your planet... No! The time has come for the ENTIRE UNIVERSE to bow down to me. And for being such a big help in all of this, your planet gets to go first! Prepare to bow, Popstar! Welcome your new overlord! | „ |
~ Magolor upon obtaining the Master Crown and showing his true colors. |
Magolor is a major character in the Kirby franchise.
He is a hegemonic being from another dimension called Halcandra and is the pilot of his flying ship, the Lor Starcutter. He tried defeating Landia in the past, only to get defeated. He ends up crashing into Planet Popstar , and manipulated Kirby and friends into helping him with his goal of world domination. He did so by getting Kirby to assist him in getting the pieces of the Lor Starcutter, and after he did that, he tricks Kirby into defeating Landia so he could rule the universe with the Master Crown's infinite power. Kirby and friends would stop him upon realizing his true intentions alongside Landia.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- He is very manipulative and charismatic, as he manages to successfully trick Kirby into thinking he was a good person so that Kirby would fix his ship, then he could get the Master Crown from Landia to rule the universe. He knew he couldn't defeat Landia, so he had Kirby do so for him, knowing how strong Kirby was.
- Even if it was faked before his redemption, he comes off as affable before his reveal to be evil, often giving Kirby encouragement and thanking him for fixing the ship, even saying he'd reward you by letting you see his home dimension. Plus, upon his redemption, he was genuinely affable at all times.
- He never wastes his time with anything, taking any threats seriously and always coming up with plans to defeat them.
- He provides a final Boss fight that's widely considered to be one of the (if not the) best in any Kirby game, with three intense phases (Lor Starcutter, Traitor Magolor, and Vessel Magolor), and a wide variety of cool-looking attacks, especially in the remake's True Arena's Magolor Soul boss fight, which had Super versions of the remake-debut Sand and Mecha abilities, and even an extra life mechanic.
- When he wanted to redeem himself, he went really out of his way to show he did, most likely because he knew he'd be hard to trust after manipulating Kirby for so long. He had an entire theme park built just to prove to Kirby he wants to redeem himself, and he would become a hero after his redemption, stopping threats such as Hyness, Void Termina and even the Master Crown itself.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- He tried attacking Landia in the past in order to steal the Master Crown.
- He manages to trick Kirby into defeating Landia, and then he stole the Master Crown so he could rule the universe.
- He tried killing Landia and Kirby when they tried stopping him after his true colors were revealed.
