Mirage is a major antagonist in Pixar's 6th full-length animated feature film The Incredibles. She is formerly the right-hand assistant of Syndrome who assists in his plans to eliminate the world's superhero population before having a change of heart and deciding to help the Incredibles instead.
She was voiced by the late Elizabeth Peña.
What Makes Her Magnificent?[]
- She added charisma in her methods of skillfully manipulating Mr. Incredible into accepting her invitation to a mission under the guise of the intentions of helping make supers legal again.
- She did a good job of keeping up the façade of who Mr. Incredible was really working for.
- She showed some standards as she was shocked when Syndrome ordered his men to shoot Mr. Incredible's family, especially with the knowledge that there are children aboard.
- When Mr. Incredible attempted to grab Syndrome, Mirage pushed him out of the way and saved him, ending up being grabbed by Mr. Incredible himself, who would make an attempt to hold her hostage to get Syndrome to let him go, which Syndrome refused knowing that he couldn't kill her.
- She begun to feel bad for Mr. Incredible for the loss of his family.
- She told Syndrome that Mr. Incredible is not weak and berated him for not trying to save her, telling him to bet his own life next time he gambles.
- She redeemed herself by freeing Mr. Incredible, letting him know that his family is alive and assisting them with making it to the city in order to stop the Omnidroid by telling him the password to the ship.
What Makes Her a Baddie?[]
- She assisted Syndrome in killing 15 superheroes by luring them in for the Omnidroids to kill them.
- She tricked Mr. Incredible into believing that she was assisting in helping make supers legal again, only for him to be captured and nearly killed by Syndrome.
