Your wish is yours to keep.
~ Nadakhan's catchphrase and last words.

Nadakhan is a major antagonist in Ninjago, serving as the main antagonist of Season 6.

He is a Djinn and leader of the Sky Pirates that seeks to obtain ultimate power and rule his own land.

He is voiced by Scott McNeil.

What Makes Him Magnificent?[]

  • He's a stellar manipulative chessmaster that uses a combination of exact words and loophole abuse to twist wishes to his advantage to outplay the wisher.
    • He tricked Misako into revealing the location of the Realm Crystal before imprisoning her.
    • He puts up a convincing façade of wanting to avenge his realm to disguise his true motives from everyone.
    • He quickly defeats most of the ninja and imprisons them in the Djinn Blade. Special mention goes to how he completely outplayed Zane whilst beating him at chess, making him a literal chessmaster.
    • While he was very annoyed with Jay and didn't seem to react badly when he accused him of not loving Delara he is very patient and stoic.
  • Centuries ago, he ruled the seas as the greatest pirate until being narrowly defeated by Captain Soto in an epic battle.
  • He generally loved his crew and he treated them fair.
  • Upon being freed from his teapot prison by Clouse, he instantly tricks him into being trapped in the teapot.
  • After figuring out his crew could be freed via the Realm Crystal, which was under the protection of the ninja, he framed the ninja for various crimes to successfully get them arrested and thereby out of the way.
  • He easily defeated Cyrus Borg's advanced, high-tech security to obtain the Realm Crystal for himself and free his crew.
  • He successfully recreates Djinjago using the power of the imprisoned souls in the Djinn Blade to lift select chunks of Ninjago into the air.
  • Though he forces Nya to marry him in the recreated Djinjago, it's only because he needs a marriage ceremony on Djinn land to obtain omnipotence and resurrect his true lover, Delara.
  • Despite the heroes best efforts, he successfully obtains omnipotence and kills almost all the ninja, making him the only Ninjago villain to accomplish such a feat.
  • After he's temporarily weakened by the Tiger Widow venom whilst Nya was fatally wounded in the crossfire, he deduced the dilemma Jay had to make: Make Nadakhan mortal to defeat him, but lose Nya or save Nya and render Nadakhan unstoppable.
    • Whilst Jay was being indecisive, he stealthily made his way to strike him with the Djinn Blade, nearly succeeding with none of the ninja noticing.
  • He's ultimately only beaten by the sheer luck of a grieving Jay inadvertently finding a third option and reversing all the events of the season.
  • He is overall one of the most tragic/sympathetic villains in Ninjago, as after he was freed he found out his lover is dead and when he decided to return home with his crew, he had to watch his father and home realm die in rapid succession. These events caused him to understandably went mad with grief, where he succumbed to his greed and began to discard the lives of his crew who were a family to him.

What Makes Him a Baddie[]

  • He loses all his redeeming qualities save his love for Delara, subverting his benevolent boss tendencies and admitting to Jay that he didn't actually care about avenging Djinjago, only recreating it to obtain ultimate power.
  • He stole massive chunks of Ninjago to recreate Djinjago in the sky.
  • He kills Zane's companion P.I.X.A.L. by deleting her conscious from his harddrive.
  • He imprisoned all the ninja, save for Jay and Nya, by trapping their souls inside the Djinn Blade, which rendered them unconscious.
  • He enslaved Jay in an attempt to break his spirit to imprison himself in the Djinn Blade.
  • He forced Clancee to make the latter's wish to find Jay and Nya's whereabouts, so he and the rest of the Sky Pirates can capture Nya to marry the Djinn and imprison Jay in the Djinn Blade.
  • When Flintlocke tried to reason with him to focus on recreating Djinjago, Nadakhan demoted him for a justified mutiny.
  • He banishes Clancee, Doubloon and Monkey Wrench for outliving their usefulness and tries to do the same to the rest of his crew.
  • He revives Delara in Nya's body.
  • He temporarily kills nearly all the ninja by turning them into gold statues.
