Naugus is the overarching antagonist of Sonic SatAm, serving as the main antagonist of the Sonic SatAM episode "The Void". He is a powerful Sorcerer who discovered an alternate dimension known as the Void who enlisted the help of Robotnik and Snively to build a portal to the Void for him to explore it but was betrayed and trapped in the Void by him and schemes to escape and get his revenge on Robotnik.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- He has a nice creepy yet cool voice and his ability to do magic and use illusions to his advantage makes him a respectable villain and his more affable demeanor makes him more likable than the vile Robotnik and cowardly Snivley.
- His status as the one character that Robotnik fears makes him instantly cool and makes the audience want to see him succeed in his goals.
- Despite being stranded in the Void he made the most of a bad situation by using his magic to transform into a beautiful location and over the years learned a way to open a portal back to his home dimension.
- Upon seeing Sonic's speed he figures out he could get him out of the Void and uses an artifact as a booby trap that would drag the user to the Void for him. While he fails to capture Sonic and ends up with Sally and Bunnie he changes his plan to using them as hostages to ensure Sonic would come to him.
- When Sonic refuses to help him he resorts to disguising himself as a sickly King Acorn to trick Sonic into helping him escape the Void.
- He is grateful to Sonic for helping his mistake and even allows him to go back into the Void to save his friends.
- His torture of Robotnik where he has him begging for mercy and transforming his head into multiple animals and makes him eat dirt as a pig because "it suits you" is utterly satisfying and deserved.
- When he realizes the Crystallization is kicking in he prevents Robotnik from noticing by tricking him into running away by "playing" hide and seek with him.
- He takes his setback of having to go back to the Void in stride and even saves King Acorn by taking him back to the Void with him so they can both live while he tries to figure out a new way to escape.
- In the series finale he is revealed to have escaped the Void and the death of Robotnik means he succeeded in all of his goals.
What makes Him a Baddie?[]
- He kidnapped and brainwashed Sally and Bunnie and used the as hostages to lure Sonic into the Void.
- He tricked Sonic into rescuing him by pretending to be the King and had him leave his friends in the Void (although he did let him go back for them later).
- At the end of the show he is shown to be working with Snively on a new evil plot to take over the planet.
