Nightmare Bonnie is a major character in the YouTube Five Nights and Freddy's fan series The Interviewed by J-Gems. He serves as the main protagonist of An Interview With Bonnie.
One of the many animatronics interviewed in the series, he's one of the most sophisticated yet dangerous out of all the animatronics. Like all the animatronics, he is hellbent on getting revenge on William Afton, willing to kill anyone who gets in his way.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- Unlike his canon counterpart, this version of Nightmare Bonnie is sophisticated, affable, witty, and calm. He always has a polite disposition and can use this to lure people such as his interviewer into a false sense of comfort despite his terrifying appearance. This is enhanced by an excellent voice performance by J.
- He’s a tragic character as he was murdered by William Afton when he was just a child and possessed an animatronic for decades. This molded him into a dangerous killing machine against his will.
- He has his fair share of comedic moments such as being called old by Nightmare Chica when they discuss their ages and referring to Major as a “G. I. Jackass.”
- During his interview, he manages to dodge questions asked of him and calmly says that the interviewer is terrible at his job. Additionally, he successfully turns the interview around, getting information out of the interviewer before suddenly killing him.
- In An Interview with Foxy, he sees the G.E.M.S. soldiers coming and warns the other animatronics, politely apologizing for interrupting Cassidy’s and Lefty’s tense argument.
- When one of the soldiers enters the building, he cleverly takes him out by jumping on him from the balcony.
- When the animatronics split into two factions, one who wants to torture Springtrap for meaningless vengeance (led by Cassidy) and the other who wants to kill Springtrap to put all of the animatronics’ souls to rest (led by Lefty), Nightmare Bonnie joins the anti-villainous latter group.
- In An Interview with Cassidy, when G.E.M.S. soldiers attack him, he bemusedly says that he’s not in the mood as the bullets ineffectively bounce off him before grabbing a gun and shooting at them. The sight of him wielding said gun is an incredibly badass image.
- He and Nightmare Chica successfully negotiate a ceasefire with their rivals, the Phantom animatronics, after saving them. They agree to work together to take out Major because they know he’ll interfere with both factions’ goals.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- During his interview, he mentions that he’s tormented and murdered several people in the past, which he takes great pride in doing.
- He brutally murders his interviewer by impaling him with his extremely sharp claws. He also makes it blatantly obvious that this was his intention at the beginning of the interview.
