The Omnidroid V.10 is a major antagonist in the 2004 animated Disney-Pixar film, The Incredibles. It is a giant robot created by Syndrome for the purpose of being the final line of robots in the project, Operation Kronos, a plan Syndrome has created in order to eliminate superheroes. Initially programmed to wreak havoc across Metroville in order for Syndrome to destroy it so he could gain a status as a hero, it ends up realizing he is controlling it and rebels against its creator, becoming a serious threat after the fact.
What Makes It Magnificent?[]
- It has a huge “Evil is Cool” vibe thanks to its design of being a huge, round robot with legs that can shoot lasers and is an absolute juggernaut that can withstand a lot of things the Incredibles throw at it.
- Unlike the other omnidroids, it recognizes that Syndrome is controlling it with a remote and fires lasers at him to prevent itself from being controlled.
- When it realizes that its legs aren't enough to break Violet's forcefield, it drops its entire body on the forcefield to break it.
- Recognizes that Mr. Incredible is lifting its body so grabs him from underneath and flicks him away.
- Fires lasers at Dash to better attack him due to his speed.
- When Frozone and Dash run away from it on the water, it recognizes it can’t chase after them, so it turns into a ball and jumps in it to catch them, causing a tidal wave that knocks them onto land.
- Fires it’s arm at Mr. Incredible to separate him from the remote.
- Even when the Incredibles get the remote, the Omnidroid still tanks everything they throw at it and nearly wins, only losing by Mr. Incredible firing its arm back at it, penetrating its metal and ripping its brain out.
What Makes It a Baddie?[]
- It attacked the city of Metroville, causing mass destruction and endangering the lives of several innocent people.
- Tries to kill the Incredibles to prevent them from using its remote to control it.
