Paragus is a major antagonist of the Dragon Ball Z parody series DragonBall Z Abridged: Broly. He is the father of Broly and a Saiyan who is tossed away by King Vegeta due to Broly’s high power level. Since then, he had been plotting his revenge against King Vegeta by trying to get his son, Vegeta killed.

He is voiced by SenileSnake.

What Makes Him Magnificent?[]

  • He is able to make use of Vegeta's massive ego by calling him the king to convince him to stay on the planet that is going to be destroyed by an incoming comet.
  • When Vegeta insisted in calling Goku Kakarot which makes Broly goes berserk, Paragus simply changed his plan into letting Broly kill Vegeta and the Z-Warriors.
  • Unlike his canon counterpart, Paragus didn't brainwash Broly into being a living weapon, and the destruction of the Southern Galaxy is an accident, therefore making him less heinous.
  • Despite abandoning Broly after he is reduced into only being able to utter a single word, he is still a father far better than King Vegeta, Vegeta and Goku, even trying to avoid Broly from going berserk and is proud of him.
  • Due to the Shamoshans being revealed to actually enjoy being enslaved and exploited, his enslavement of them becomes less disgusting.
  • When he plan is exposed, he simply calmly explained his motivation instead of going through a villainous breakdown.
  • He gets established to have been well-intentioned enough to not end up in HFIL with Broly following his death.

What Makes Him a Baddie?[]

  • Tries to get Vegeta killed for a crime he didn't commit.
  • Despite the other Z-Warriors having nothing to do with his abandonment, Paragus is willing to get them killed too.
  • He didn’t prepare any escape pods for the Shamoshans, showing that he is willing to let them die.
