Pip Bernadotte is a supporting character in Hellsing. He's the leader of the mercenary group called Wild Geese, engaged by Integra Hellsing to protect and support the Hellsing Organization. He's also the love interest of the vampire Seras Victoria.
He is voiced by Hiroaki Hirata in the Japanese version of the anime and by Yuri Lowenthal in the English version.
What makes him Magnificent?[]
- Assists Alucard and Seras in Brazil, killing the corrupt leader allied with Alhambra, destroying their base and hijacking an helicopter, helping the two vampires to escape
- Despite having no supernatural powers, he kills several Millenium vampires with landmines placed on the grass and automatic grenade launchers, showing a mind of a war tactician by also ordering Seras to destroy the zeppelin with the Harkonnen cannons and destroying the vampiric survivors, who succedeed in infiltrating the manor with Zorin's help from her illusion magic.
- Despite being outnumbered by the nazi vampires, he refuses to give up and letting Seras die, even after being injured with a piece of shrapnel in his gut.
- After being mortally wounded by Zorin Blitz, he asks Seras to suck his blood, knowing that it will cure Seras lack of eyesight and will let her become more powerful, making her resist to Zorin's illusions and kill all of her troops.
- After becoming a familiar of Seras he proves to be very useful, motivating and assisting her in killing the Captain and even gives the final blow by placing a silver tooth in his heart. Years later, he also helps Seras protect the Hellsing Manor and act as a protective barrier of it.
What makes him a Baddie?[]
- Before being engaged by the Hellsing Organization, he was a mercenary who fought in many wars for money. He even remarks that it was also for fun.
- When he kills the corrupt heads of the Brazilian Special forces, who were Alhambra's accomplices, he also kills some innocent policemen who were with them at the moment. He also bombs their tent, without caring for collateral damage.
Trivia[]
- So far, he's the only Hellsing character to be a Magnificent Baddie.
