The Postal Worker is the main protagonist of a short from Joseph's Machines, "Secret Life of a Postal Worker." He is an intelligent squatter who lives in the post office he works at and preys off people's mail.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- He sneaks into his work building every night by dropping a simple boxknife at the door to keep it open.
- He hides his supplies behind a "Safety First" poster in the wall.
- He uses the mail slides to throw his supplies down quickly, and uses the rolling belt as a bed as all the bedding is dropped down to him automatically in a satisfying fashion.
- He creates a meticulous machine which drops one plushie down to catch another plushie to give it to him.
- He makes a living off very basic resources.
- As he wakes up, he gets dressed quickly and winks at the camera in victory, getting away with all his crimes.
- He is likeable due to being very comedic, witty and sneaky.
- He isn't too magnificent because he makes mistakes like putting the half eaten chocolate back in the box or having no way to sustain his cycle by putting his bedding back to the top. However, because it's a comedy, nobody really cares.
What Makes Him A Baddie?[]
- He illegally trespasses into the building every night to live there and use stuff that doesn't belong to him. Also, there's no proof he's homeless and he doesn't try to change for the better.
- He destroys and steals a lot of mail during his visits, for example, when he opened multiple packages of food, used the slides as beds, read people's private letters for fun, and knocked over stacks of boxes making a mess.
