“ | Your city's benefactor, Bruce Wayne, has provided me a weapon of limitless power. In his arrogance, Wayne thought he could bring light to the world like a god. Gotham is now the head of a beast whose tentacles will bring darkness to whatever they touch and in turn deliver power to me. Power to drain countries of their wealth, or crush them with their warheads, turning their citizens into slaves, all through a system already in place: the Internet. Who is the god now? Gotham is gone, there is nothing left to fight for. Join me, as I cleanse this city and return it to greatness. | „ |

“ | Congratulations. I often wondered what it felt like to lose. | „ |
~ Ra's congratulating Batman for defeating him and thwarting his scheme. |
Ra's al Ghul is one of the main antagonists of the short-lived 2013 CGI-animated superhero series, Beware the Batman, serving as the main antagonist of the first half of the season. He is the leader of the League of Assassins, Lady Shiva's master, one of the MI6's most wanted criminals and one of Batman's most dangerous enemies to date, effortlessly bringing Gotham to its knees while providing Batman his first major defeat.
He was portrayed by the late Lance Reddick, who also voiced Sylens in the Horizon series and played Charon from the John Wick series.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- Given an imposing and commanding vocal performance by Lance Reddick.
- Rallies up the entire League of Shadows through sheer will and charisma, which is so strong, they halt their current plans upon discovering his body and put his plans in motion for the sake of reviving him and continuing his plan.
- Evaded the MI6 multiple times and thwarting every attempt to capture him.
- Despite being more stone-cold than usual, Ra's still has moments of genuine politeness towards his allies and his enemies, frequently complimenting Batman and assuring Alfred to not be upset with his failure in his introductory scene as he was the closest to have ever found him than any of his predecessors
- Uses Cypher as an agent to take control of Dr. Jason Burr and play Wayne Enterprises and use Wayne's funding to use him to create he perfect tool for his goals of world domination, the Ion Cortex, which Ra's can use to manipulate all electrical appliances in the world and force countries into surrendering to his rule.
- Using the Ion Cortex, he brings all of Gotham to its knees and forces the world leaders in a win-win situation for him, by either surrendering to have Ra's as Gotham's shadow ruler or have the chaos in Gotham reveal Gotham's true face to the world
- Is an incredibly skilled fighter who dominates Batman throughout his fight. Even despite this, Ra's genuinely respects Batman and finds him a worthy opponent and a warrior of skill eh never saw since millenia, even offering him a chance to join him and help him cleanse the world of corruption
- Pits Katana against Alfred and has her nearly kill him with just nothing but the sheer power of words.
- Reacts to problems that can even cause the slightest of problems, immediately dealing with a split-second blackout of lights caused by Barbara Gordon's attempt to hack into the Ion Cortex to immediately dispatch Lady Shiva to check on it and see if it would be a problem he ahs to worry about later.
- When Batman manages to lay down a strategy to thwart Ra's scheme, Ra's outright congratulates him and thanks him for teaching him what it felt like to lose.
- Even when a lot more despotic, Ra's still genuinely wants to benefit humanity and help them grow and purge the planet off corruption, wanting them to be his slaves as he deems them too corrupt, chaotic and destructive.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- Ultimately wants to make humanity his slaves upon taking over the world.
- Ra's notes he was gonna cause untold amounts of destruction, being using warheads against countries or turning the entire country's citizens into slaves or draining countries of wealth using the Ion Cortex.
- Plunges Gotham into darkness and threatened Gotham's leaders to make it permanent and have the citizens tear the city apart and annihilate itself through dramatical increase in crime and massive riots if they don't surrender to him.
- Threatened Edogawa's family to force him to betray his best friend and partner Alfred and drain his soul for eternal torment.
- Manipulated Katana into killing Alfred by using the Soultaker's Sword to drain his soul out of revenge against Alfred for placing him in his coma.
- Drained the souls of 100s during his conquest.
- Had Lady Shiva drain the soul of Dr. Jason Burr and turning him into an empty shell upon his freedom from Cypher's control.
