Rikiya Yotsubashi is a major antagonist in the manga/anime series My Hero Academia, serving as the main antagonist of the Meta Liberation Army Arc and Season 5 of the anime. He is the president of Detnerat, a company that focuses on working the lifestyle support industry.

Unknown to his employees, however, he is also the supreme commander of the Meta Liberation Army, taking on the role from his ancestor, Chikara Yotsubashi. Taking on the villainous name Re-Destro, Yotsubashi plans to continue on his ancestor's legacy and one of his first plans is to eliminate the League of Villains.

Following his defeat against the League of Villains, however, Rikiya surrendered his resources to Tomura Shigaraki. Seeing how Tomura has managed to liberate himself, Rikiya decides to reform the Meta Liberation Army and League of Villains into the Paranormal Liberation Front, becoming one of Tomura's nine lieutenants.

He is voiced by Hiroaki Hirata in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Sonny Strait in the English version of the anime.

What Makes Him Magnificent?

• He is a well-intended extremist as he genuinely wanted to improve the society of Quirk and wanted to fulfill his father's wishes on forming a liberated society where everyone is allowed to use their Quirks freely no matter how bad his actions were in order to achieve his goal.
• He is genuinely affable to his teammates. He truly cared for his teammates as he was saddened when Curious died by Himiko and even felt guilty when he killed his secretary, still showing he still cared for them and even at some time even protected his troops.
• He has moments where he shows standards. He truly believed that the League of Villains are nothing more but a group of villains that just wanted destruction for no particular reason and were ultimately ruining his goals.
• He flawlessly captured Giran as he made the League of Villains fight him in order to rescue him.
• He is one of the few characters to give the League of Villains and Tomura a hard time fighting as they were struggling to defeat him and his team many times.
• He manages to almost defeat Tomura when he grabs his hands with two of his fingers as he was almost ready to crush them leading to Tomura almost losing them when being squished by them.
• Even thought Tomura got stronger and faster than him, he still kept fighting as he is not holding back his powers in order to defeat Tomura.
• After getting defeated by Tomura, he calmly accepts his defeat as he surrenders to him and making him the new leader of the Meta Liberation Army, not only because he knows that he can't defeat him, but also he was genuinely impressed by Shigaraki's newfound resolve and detachment from restrictions while he himself had to be bound by the wishes of his family and lineage, and that resolve made Re-Destro admit he is far better to lead the army and the cause than he ever was.
• He agreed to get cloned by Twice as he ends up killing Midnight, damaging many parts of the building and injuring most of the staff while the heroes tried to catch him.
• He put up a good fight against Tokoyami and Edgeshot until he finally gets defeated leading to his arrest.

What Makes Him a Baddie?

• He killed his own secretary for calling him a terrorist, although he did regret killing him.
• He is the leader of the Meta Liberation Army who cause chaos and whose loyalty is so cultish, they readily accept Re-Destro's orders for suicide missions in order to defeat his enemy leading to many deaths he has caused.
• He kidnapped Giran in order to lure the League of Villains.
