Risotto Nero is one of the two secondary antagonists of JoJo's Bizarre Adventures: Golden Wind. He is the leader of Diavolo's hit team La Squadra, who means to kill his boss and take over Passione.
He was voiced by Shinshū Fuji in the anime and by Armen Taylor in the English dub.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- Being the leader of a badass team of powerful assassins including fellow MB Prosciutto.
- His stonecold stoicism makes him rather cool to watch.
- His Stand Metallica is one of the coolest and most unique stands in the part.
- He is a benevolent boss towards La Squadra, who is partly motivated by avenging his underlings Sorbet and Gelato.
- While certainly a bad guy himself, his primary goal is to overthrow and kill Diavolo, a paranoid sociopath who is far worse than him, leading to the viewers being made to root for him in their fight.
- Was smart enough to only go after Diavolo after learning about his daughter and thus a means to learn his identity.
- Tricks Doppio into attacking his severed foot instead of him.
- Figures out Doppio is Diavolo's split personality during their fight.
- Ultimately beats Diavolo and has him completely at his mercy, only being fatally injured by Narancia's stand Aerosmith attacking him at the worst time possible.
- When Diavolo offers to give him a quick death in exchange for returning his iron to his body, he instead takes control of Aerosmith to shoot both of them down at the same time, only being foiled due to a subpower of King Crimson he couldn't have possibly predicted.
- Even Diavolo acknowledges him as a strong and worthy adversary.
What Makes Him a Baddie?[]
- Wants to kidnap Trish, who is just a child to gain knowledge on Diavolo.
- Tortures a Passione member into helping him.
- Is a assassin who kills people for money and leads a group of fellow assassins who do the same.
- Intends to take over Passione and unlike Giorno Giovanna and Bruno Bucciarati wanted to continue the drug trade and get rich through it.
Trivia[]
- Both Risotto and Prosciutto are Magnificent Baddies from La Squadra di Esecuzioni.
- Additionally, Risotto Nero can be considered as an evil counterpart of Bruno Bucciarati for being the team dad and the leader of their respective gangs, Bruno for Team Bucciarati and Risotto Nero for La Squadra, even though they never fought each other directly.
