Rupac Inca Huaco, or as he is known by in his disguise, Chiquito, is the secondary antagonist of the Prisoners of the Sun arc in the Tintin series. Introduced as just the knife-throwing partner of Ramon Zarate, it is revealed he is a religiously devoted Quichua Indian, and a descendent of the Incas who refuses to have his culture be desecrated in any way, as he curses the 7 explorers of the Sanders-Hardiman expedition that desecrated the tomb of the ancient king, Racar Capac, and a High Priest in the Temple of the Sun.

What Makes Him Magnificent?[]

  • Like most of the Indians, he is an Anti-Villain, who while doing very immoral actions, is doing evil to preserve his Incan culture and doesn't want it to be freely destroyed.
  • Sneaks into Europe under the guise of Ramon Zarate's stage partner for his knife-throwing acts.
  • Despite noticing police all around, he manages to covertly curse all the 7 explorers one by one, while always evading the police and Tintin. An especially magnificent example is his cursing of Professor Tarragon, who was under police protection, by entering his house via the chimney instead of the main entrance and cursing him in his sleep.
  • When Tintin chases after him and he gets shot, Rupac hides in the trees, tricking Tintin into believing he has escaped. By the time he found out about Rupac's trick, he had long escaped.
  • Upon kidnapping Professor Cuthbert Calculus, Rupac tricks the law enforcement multiple times, switching cars, and then dumping the new car in the ocean, while everyone is left confused on who and where is the culprit. When by sheer chance Tintin was able to deduce Rupac as the culprit, he was long on his way to Peru aboard the Pachacamac.
  • Upon the Pachacamac's arrival, Rupac organized a false quarantine as a cover to secretly smuggle Calculus into Peru and succeeds in bringing him to the Temple of the Sun.
  • When Tintin convinces the Prince of the Sun that the 7 explorers were all well-intentioned men who just wanted to educate the world about the Incas, Rupac follows the Prince's orders to free the 7 explorers without hesitation.

What Makes Him a Baddie?[]

  • Curses 7 explorers, putting them in a coma before torturing their souls.
  • Kidnaps Calculus, and brings him to the Temple of the Sun to be executed. When Tintin and Captain Haddock arrive, he attempts to burn them in Calculus' pyre as well.
