~ Second Sister to Commander Atty. |
Trilla Suduri, also known as the Second Sister is the main antagonist of the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and a minor character in the 2017-2018 Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith comic book series.
She was a former Jedi Padawan under the tutelage of Cere Junda who was captured by the Empire shortly after Order 66 and forcibly turned into an Inquisitor after long torture. She was tasked with hunting down fugitive Force-sensitive people. in addition, she was tasked with hunting down Jedi Padawan, Cal Kestis, and retrieving a Holocron which contains information about Force-sensitive children.
She was voiced by Elizabeth Grullon in her first villainous role.
What makes her Magnificent?[]
- She has a very tragic backstory. She was caught after her Master revealed her location under torture. Trilla and the youngling she was protecting were then found by the Stormtroopers. She was then tortured for a very long period of time until she herself became an Inquisitor. Her reasons for being on the Dark Side are very understandable because she had to live with the thought she had failed to protect the younglings under her care, that her Master, Cere, had betrayed her and she was practically forced to become an Inquisitor under torture against her will.
- Her backstory shows her trying to calm down the kids she is protecting which shows that she was a caring person before her tragedy.
- She is an extremely skilled fighter who almost manages to kill Cal Kestis on twice and goes down after a tiresome battle in the final act. She also has incredible Force powers, like using Force Dash and Force drain.
- She is composed and intelligent and knows how to exploit her opponents. For example, she lures Cal Kestis to a trap where he almost gets killed by her Stormtroopers. Throughout their fights, she often taunts him and teases him to weaken his psyche and defeat him more easily. She also tricks him into showing her where the Holocron is and then, after a brief fight, she steals it while he is distracted. Trilla also reveals to Cal how Cere had betrayed her location to the Stormtroopers in the hopes that he would turn against her and cause arguments between the two.
- There is only one moment in the game where her composure slightly breaks. After her defeat at the hands of Cal Kestis, she starts visibly shaking when she hears that Darth Vader is approaching and is displeased with her. But, given that this is Darth Vader, it's understandable. Also, she still dies with dignity because she doesn't try to run away or beg for mercy but instead asks Cere to avenge her and all the other Jedi who had become victims of the Empire.
- She comes very close to redeeming herself. After she is disarmed by Cal, Cere approaches her and apologizes to her. Subsequently, Trilla forgives Cere for what she did and tries to join her but then, Darth Vader appears behind her and kills her for her failure.
What makes her a baddie?[]
- She is a Jedi hunter working for the Empire who kills and kidnaps Force-sensitive people and others who oppose the regime
- In the game she kills Cal Kestis' friend when he speaks up against the Empire, spends the entire game trying to kill Cal and get her hands on the Holocron knowing full well that the children whose information is contained within will be hunted down, kidnapped and turned into Inquisitors by the Empire.
Trivia[]
- She is the second Inquisitor to Be a Magnificent Baddie, the other being The Grand Inquisitor.
