Sevika is a major character in the 2021 Netflix-exclusive animated series, Arcane, based on the 2009 game League of Legends by Riot games, serving as the secondary antagonist of Season 1 and a supporting character in Season 2. She is the equally brilliant right-hand to Silco who joined in hopes of a revolt against Piltover for the oppression against her home of Zaun. However Sevika does grow wary of his adoptive daughter, Jinx, due to her growing instability until they eventually befriend upon Silco's death at the end of Season 1. She is the arch-rival to Vi.
She was voiced by Amirah Vann.
What Makes Her Magnificent?[]
- Has a sympathetic reason for her loyalty to Silco, having been tired of Piltover's constant oppression of Zaun and feeling that Vander's methods of keeping the peace haven't improved the situation.
- Is loyal to Silco, that she is willing to use herself as a human shield to save Silco's life from a massive explosion caused by Power, losing her arm in the process. Even when growing weary of Silco's leniency with Powder, now his adoptive daughter Jinx, she still can't bring herself to turn on Silco and intends to continue his work even after his death.
- As Silco's right-hand, she efficiently runs Silco's day to day operations whenever he can't physically be present, which sees Shimmer successfully being smuggled through Piltover's Hexgates or the production of Shimmer.
- Whenever Jinx ends up causing issues due to her own wacky antics, she is quick to clean up her messes without much of an issue raised. She even frequently advices Silco to deal with Jinx for how much of a loose cannon she would be and it will cause problems later down the line, in which as the first season progress, is consistently proven to be true
- Is good at psychological warfare, used in these two instances:
- Revealing to Vi that Powder is alive and now Silco's adoptive daughter to catch her offguard when she seemed to hold her down and have an opening to stab her in the abdomen, being seconds from killing VI until a surprise shot from Caitlyn Kiramman forced her to flee.
- Remaining defiant to Jinx's attempts to torture her and reveal that Vi is alive but then fabricating claims that Vi replaced her with Caitlyn, in hopes of sending her onto the two and neutralize their threat or prove to Silco how much of a liability she could be to his operations. Even with Jinx seemingly laughing it off and tying her up, it is shown that Sevika's words and attempts to probe Jinx has worked and leads to her calling for Vi and going mad when she discovers Caitlyn.
- Is dispatched by Silco to help him quell the Chem-Barons attempts to subvert his authority. When the smug Finn tries to enlist her help to overthrow Silco, Sevika pretends to join him when in truth wanting to catch him off-guard and slay him to set an example to keep the other Chem-Barons in line, knowing that for all her issues with Silco, a worm like Finn is a much worse alternative to leadership.
- Even with her strained view of Jinx, upon needing to step up to take Silco's place after he dies and quell the Chem-Barons' gang wars that are engulfing Zaun, Sevika refuses to surrender Jinx to Piltover as she believes that no Zaunite should give up their own.
- Upon forming an unlikely friendship with Jinx over their shared frustrations at the aftermath of Silco's death, she sneaks up to Smeech during her attempts to assassinate Jinx and then dominate her fight with him.
- When Piltover forms an alliance with Noxus to enforce a marshal law over Zaun, Sevika manages to rally nearly all of Zaun, from the chem-barons' criminal roganizations to Jinx's supporters, to unite them all under Jinx's leadership to fight back. This plan only fails due to Jinx's refusal to show up as well as the Noxian forces ambushing the rally.
- When Isha gets captured by the Noxians, Sevika helps Jinx break into the fortified Stillwater Prison and help her escape.
- Agrees to help fight Piltover against the larger invasion from the coalition between the Noxians and Viktor's cult, with such actuons earning her a place in Piltover's Council to represent Zaun.
What Makes Her a Baddie?[]
- Betrays the peaceful Vander because she feels he has gotten soft and joins Silco, helping run his horrible crime empire that sees Shimmer, a dangerous drug, flooding Zaun's markets as well as being smuggled to Piltover, while also requiring child labour.
- Has some underhanded methods to kill Vi during their fight, such as revealing how her sister was adopted and corrupted by Silco to lower her guard and taunt her for this in her final moments.
- Similarly she will also lie to Jinx on how Vi replaced Caitlyn and taunt her on how she will implode later.
- Helps Jinx attack Vi and Caitlyn in hopes of killing them.
- Brutally rips Smeech apart after defeating him.
