Skylor is a major character in Ninjago, serving as a major antagonist turned supporting character in Season 4, a major character in Seasons 9 & 15, and a minor character in Seasons 7, 10, and 14.
She is the Elemental Master of Amber that skillfully served her father, Master Chen, as a spy during the Tournament of Elements before defecting upon realizing his sheer depravity and became a recurring ally of the ninja. She is also Kai's love interest.
What Makes Her Magnificent?[]
- She is the most competent and charming member of Chen's forces, contrasting her cowardly/petty father, the unlikeable Clouse, and the idiotic mooks.
- She hid her true lineage and pretended to be a simple contestant in Chen's Tournament of Elements in order to spy on the other Elemental Masters and the heroes.
- She took advantage of Kai defending her from Karloff to not only secretly absorb his powers, but also befriend him and steadily gain his trust
- In the first round of the tournament, she manipulates Kai into helping her get the Jade blade in their immediate vicinity.
- During her fight with the blind Master of Sound Jacob, she quickly adjusted to his detection of sound waves as his "sight" and tricked him to firing holes in the wall, releasing a gush of air that distorted his senses and allowed her to claim the Jade blade.
- She utilizes her father's pettiness to her advantage by stopping him from rigging the match and helping Lloyd win, solidly gaining the trust of the heroes.
- After the heroes learned from a disguised Nya about Chen having a spy, she skillfully destroyed the alliance of the Elemental Masters and the ninja by inflaming tensions within the group and using the power of shapeshifting she absorbed to hide her Anacondrai tattoo that would've outed her.
- She gave Cole/Zane's message about planning to escape to Kai to further strengthen their relationship whilst secretly informing her father about it.
- She nearly manipulated Kai into leading her to Nya, Lloyd, and Garmadon so Chen's forces could capture them all. Though she slips-up by using ice in the heat of the moment to cross a river, it is already too late for Kai and she helps Chen capture him, with the other remaining Elemental Masters already having been captured.
- She ends up feeling remorse for her villainy after realizing how genuine her feelings for Kai were and outplays her father to disarm him of his staff, allowing Kai to smash it and restore everyone's powers, officially redeeming herself.
- She escapes capture from Chen's forces and uses her absorbed telepathic powers to warn the heroes of Chen's new plot to use her to complete the transformation spell since she had all the Elemental powers.
- After Chen successfully completes the spell and everyone heads back to mainland Ninjago, she was the one to deduce that the spell was temporary and that the ninja fell into a trap chasing his noodle trucks as they were empty and diverting them from the villages so Chen could launch his assault.
- She hilariously ignores Chen when he cowardly begs her to save him from being killed and cursed by the Anacondrai generals
- She takes over Chen's noodle empire and runs it competently as a legitimate business.
- Despite semi-seriously considering restarting Chen's criminal empire, she ultimately remains an ally of the ninja's and assists them whenever things were really dire.
- She saves the rebellion from Garmadon's forces right when it was about to fail.
- Despite her and Mystake's infiltration of Garmadon's tower going awry, she improvises and is still able to trick Garmadon and absorb his elemental power, before narrowly escaping.
- She hijacks Garmadon's Colossus and engages in a epic fight of determination to control it with Garmadon that she nearly wins.
What Makes Her a Baddie?[]
- She helped Chen steal the powers of the Elemental Masters and attempt to take over the world.
- In fact, she joined in with Chen's evil laughter at the thought of disbanding the ninja.
