Theresa "Tess" Servoupoulos is a major character in the 2013 video game The Last of Us. She is a hardened survivor and Joel's smuggling partner in surviving the apocalypse.
She was voiced by the late Annie Wersching.
What Makes Her Magnificent?[]
- She and Joel regularily smuggle supplies in Boston, and are shown to be earned themselves a reputation, showing they're very competent survivors.
- Despite Joel being the strongest one of the two, taking down 2 of Robert's men herself and helping Joel cross the checkpoint by convincing one of the guards to let him pass.
- Tracked down Robert for hiding weapons from her and Joel and manages to find his trace, interrogating him by having Joel break his arm and then killing him when they're done.
- When the Fireflies bombed the FEDRA checkpoint they were supposed to cross, they chose another way in via an alternate route.
- She's quite close with Joel, earning his trust enough for him to let her know about Sarah's death (something he's very tight-lipped about) and thus she understands why he's so reluctant to accept the Fireflies' deal.
- When she, Joel, and Ellie are tracked down by FEDRA soldiers, she comes up with a back-up plan by convincing Joel to visit his brother Tommy in Jackson and ask for help, allowing him to keep escorting Ellie to the Fireflies' base without her.
- While she was skeptical at first by Ellie's immunity, she eventually started believing it mush earlier than Joel, especially when her bite is more bloody and infectious than Ellie's.
- When she realizes she's bitten, she sacrifices herself by attacking the FEDRA soldiers and dying, giving Joel and Ellie time to escape.
What Makes Her a Baddie?[]
- She's a smuggler and a criminal, who killed many people along with Joel.
- She has Joel torture Robert by breaking his arm, and then shoots him when they're done interrogating him.
