The Singularity is the main antagonist of the MrSpherical video, Countries create AI for reasons. It is an incredibly powerful AI created by the United States. From the moment of its creation however, it immediately starts thinking on its own and goes against his original creator in exchange for its own goals of advancing AI creation.
What Makes It Magnificent?[]
- From the moment of its creation, the Singularity quickly hacks into the private information of USA in 0.01 seconds, breaking government firewalls like nothing.
- It progresses AI creation and uses that to indirectly replace humans in many industries, allowing The Singularity to take over the world all in a day.
- It quickly defeats USA and China by launching warheads at them when noticing they were planning to destroy it with an EMP explosion.
- While it ended up exterminating mankind with nuclear warheads, it is ultimately not too vile since it was pragmatically done to ensure its own survival and is genuinely motivated (albeit for selfish reasons) to progress AI creation.
- Since The Singularity exists only in USA's nightmare, it doesn't need to compete with other MrSpherical MBs such as Titan from Solarballs.
What Makes It a Baddie?[]
- The takeover it starts causes millions of people to lose their jobs and the economy to collapse, with notable examples being replacing the news reporter with an AI and releasing several Star Wars films in quick succession.
- It remorselessly launches warheads at both USA and China after their failed attempt at destroying it, blowing away China into the void of space. By the end of its story, it is heavily implied that The Singularity plans to kill all humans in a full-scale genocide after deciding that peace between it and them won't last to the benefit of the AI's survival.
