Douglas "Doug" Talpid, better known as The Underminer, is the final antagonist of Disney Pixar's 24th full-length animated feature film The Incredibles, and the opening antagonist of its 2018 sequel, Disney•Pixar's 73rd full-length animated feature film The Incredibles 2.

He is voiced by John Ratzenberger.

What Makes Him Magnificent?

• He is a memorably bombastic villain who by chewing the scenery, makes the most of all the scenes he has.
• Using his drills, he dug his way into the bank and detonated its foundation to bring it down and leave its vault open for him to rob.
• He created a vacuum hose that allowed him to rob a huge container full of cash.
• When Mr. Incredible unexpectedly intervened, he used the vacuum hose to suck him inside and put up a decent fight with the really strong and indestructible superhero.
• When his drill went haywire, the Underminer used this to distract Mr. Incredible long enough to allow for his grand escape, becoming a Karma Houdini.

What Makes Him a Baddie?

• He used a giant destructive drill and bombs to bring down a bank and rob it, uncaring on potentially harming bystanders.
• He was very much willing to let his aforementioned drill run loose across the city to distract the hero and ensure his escape.

Trivia

• His counterpart from the video game The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer cannot qualify since he is too vile given that he wanted to wipe out all of humanity and even tried to blow up the sun (which could have destroyed all life on Earth, ergo making it genocide).
