What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- He displays lots of charisma when acting as a father figure to Han and loyal henchman to Dryden, while manipulating and using them against each other for his own purposes.
- In fact while other Star Wars Magnificent Baddies are manipulative, Beckett is just a simple thief.
- As the leader of his own gang, he has planned many successful heists and cleverly improvises during missions when necessary.
- In an early scheme of his, he would disguise as a death priest and pretend to Force choke Rio to scare away people nearby and then take their money. He also used this trick to allow Val to place a tracker in Dvorad's pocket amid the chaos.
- He bites his wrist and attracts a sea monster to the surface with his blood, before breaking into Dvorad's ship and stealing his identichips as the monster attacks Dvorad and his men along with their ship.
- Posing as Imperial soldiers, he and his crew steal an AT-hauler on Mimban and he turns Han in to the authorities to prevent him from exposing them. Beckett also leads an army to victory in battle while convincing everyone he is a real officer.
- Disguised as Qi'ra's guard, he infiltrates the spice mines of Kessel with Han, Chewbacca and Qi'ra and takes out the Pyke sentinels as Han steals coaxium.
- He is a highly skilled gunfighter who draws blasters very fast and efficiently and is able to shoot down many enemies at once. He even twirls both blaster pistols around each finger by the trigger guard, reminding us Star Wars is a Space Western.
- It is also implied that he fought the assassin Aurra Sing and manage to kill her. While it is implied he lied about her death, it adds a mystery how the encounter happened.
- His mentoring of Han has influenced him into becoming a more experienced and cautious smuggler.
- He genuinely cares about Korso, Rio, and Val, being romantically involved with the latter. In an extended scene which is considered Canon he also mourns the loss of his teammate Korso.
- After being shot by Han, Beckett praises him for his quick thinking and shows remorse for his treatment of Han as he faces death without fear.
