Tritonio Espada is the recurring character in Disney Channel animated series Amphibia, specificly being the main antagonist of Season 1 episode "Combat Camp" and the villainous central protagonist of Season 3 "Newts in Tights".
He's a charismatic and professional newt thief, who pretends to be a daycare owner, but in truth manipulates children into stealing for him.
He is voiced by Matt Chapman.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- He has cool performance by Matt Chapman with entertaining Spanish accent.
- He has a tragic background, of being a orphan on streets of Newtopia, with no family or friends, before a having a local gang, who took care of him, abandone him once he outlived his usefulness. This resulted in him becoming a lone wolf and not to form any connections.
- He's highly charismatic and manipulative, given he teaches kids combat skills, while acting in front of adults as daycare owner. However, in truth he uses kids to rob places and leaves them behind
- Despite being mostly a pragmatism, he's genuinely affable towards others, as he praised Anne, when she defeated him and grew to care for Merry Band. His care resulted in him redeeming himself and join Wartwood Resistance to fight King Andrias.
What Makes Him Baddie?[]
- He used to be a remorseless thief, who manipulated many kids into stealing money and jewels for him, before he abandons them to fend for themselves.
