"Chairman Goda, Kiryu-san... It's impressive how faithfully you've followed my script. [...] This is the tapestry I set out to paint... And it took me 26 years to see it realized."
~ Yukio Terada, revealing himself as the leader of the Jingweon Mafia

Yukio Terada, real name Daejim Kim, is a supporting character in Yakuza (and its remake Yakuza Kiwami) and one of the overarching antagonists of Yakuza 2 (and its remake Yakuza Kiwami 2, alongside Ryo Takashima) He is the fifth chairman of the Tojo Clan, nominated by Kazuma Kiryu, after the events of the first game. He's also a survivor of the Jingweon Massacre led by the Dojima Family (who managed to stay alive, thanks to Shintaro Kazama's mercy) and the actual leader of the Jingweon Mafia, who wants to obtain revenge on the Tojo Clan, by letting explode 33 bombs in Kamurocho, one for each death of the Jingweon Massacre

What makes him Magnificent?[]

  • He's always affable, even when he tries to murder Kiryu
  • In the first game, he protected Shintaro Kazama, the man who spared his life (30 years ago) from the Shimano Family. While he didn't save Kazama(who sacrificed his life for Haruka), he still managed to kill Shimano, a cruel yakuza boss and one of the responsibles for the Jingweon Massacre.
  • Gained Kiryu's trust and became the fifth Tojo Clan chairman
  • Weakened the Tojo Clan, acting as an incompetent leader on purpose, by pushing the old guard of the Tojo Clan on the corner
  • Faked his death in front of Kiryu, orchestrating a false attack from the Omi Alliance against him, manipulating the Dragon of Dojima to make a truce with the Omi, knowing that it will incite Ryuji Goda to start a war against the Tojo Clan
  • While not difficult as other bosses, he still manages to have a fight against Kiryu, accompanied by some Jingweon minions
  • Despite being mortally wounded by Takashima, he uses his lasts moments to activate a fake bomb, predicting that Takashima would betray him, causing Takashima to panic and being killed by Ryuji Goda, saving Kiryu and Kaoru Sayama's lives

What makes him a Baddie?[]

  • Placed 33 bombs on Kamurocho,as revenge for a massacre happened decades ago, also causing one to explode at the Millenium Tower, with no victims.
  • Manipulated Kiryu and Ryuji Goda to start a war between the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance
  • Wanted to kill Ryuji Goda for not following the Jingweon Creed ideals
  • Attempted to kill Kiryu
